The Copenhagen home of a Danish style icon

Hello Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend?! Today is a big day here - my littlest girl started school. I've never seen anyone look so big and yet so small,  I'm not actually sure who was more nervous me or her?!  Anyway, all was well and I'm feeling calmer now, so it's definitely time to get on with today's tour! This lovely home belongs to Pernille Teisbaek, stylist, co-founder and creative director at Social Zoo Direct and her boyfriend. When it comes to fashion Pernille is your girl (you only have to check out her instagram gallery to see this!). When you see her fab apartment, it's obvious her eye for style covers interiors too!  Pernille likes to mix and match - blending old and new pieces from different eras (she has a distinct penchant for brass/ gold too). The result is a unique space with a touch of glam - what a perfect space with which to kick off the week?!

A lovely Swedish home with something for everyone

It's been a colourful and eclectic week here on the blog. Hopefully you've felt inspired to convert your garden shed into a little place you can call your own (I wish I had a bigger garden!), tried your luck in the give-away to win a fun bed linen set from Feliz and feel full of ideas from the eclectic Copenhagen home?! I must admit, I'm feeling the inspiration! I thought I'd complete the week with this lovely gothenburg apartment. Here's a quick guide to some of the items: kitchen - smeg fridge freezer, kitchen aid, source an industrial pendant light here. Bedroom - buy a row of wooden hooks from IKEA and paint the same colour as the wall, grey linen bedding. Children's bedroom - bed from IKEA, elephant cushion, William Morris wallpaper. Hallway - pick up vintage string shelves here.

Your very own garden retreat on a shoestring budget

Lately there's been a surge of interest in the garden shed. But not in it's traditional form. Sheds are being transformed into cosy spaces at the end of the garden to call your own. Somewhere to be creative, work or simply enjoy a cup of tea! Personally this type of garden retreat has always been a bit of a dream of mine, so I'm always inspired by people who have created their own. Jeska Hearne of Lobster & Swan recently collaborated with Waltons to create a a pretty space with a vintage-boho feel.  The summerhouse is full of whimsical florals and cheerful pops of colour and furnished almost entirely with flea market and antique finds as well as recycled / upcycled items.

It would also make a great guest house (in the warmer months of the year), don't you think?

If you already have a garden shed you're in luck. If not, this one is a  contemporary summerhouse with side shed. Pick up vintage crates here.  There's always a great selection of mid-century side-tables to be found here.  Buy classic books in lovely new covers here. I love pretty Liberty print fabric in florals (like the ones Jeska's used for the cushions) - but you can use small samples of fabrics you have lying around at home - or search for vintage fabric online. Pick up a recycled blanket (and other items) at Jeska's beautiful online shop The Future Kept.

PS I'm exploring Helsinki today, so exciting (thank you for all your tips over the last few days - I'm actually in Café Succés enjoying 'the best cinnamon bun in town' and I can testify that it is the best one I've ever tasted - with a bowl of café au lait of course!).
