A pretty, pastel Asian inspired home
Wednesday 13 June 2012
This Asian inspired home of Carol Dey designed by Peter Wilds (formerly of The Cross), is simply beautiful. I love the pastel colours and mix of old; with a pretty antique wardrobe, vintage suitcases and lamps and the new with the Tulip chair. Photographed by Janis for Anthology.

A pretty Stockholm space in pastels
Thursday 29 May 2014
I spy the Muuto stacked shelving system, the Tulip table and a handbag very similar to my terracotta one from (one of my favourite high street stores) Cos (see this beautiful one by Dorayaky too).
For more pastel inspiration check out this label (such pretty spaces!).
Thank you so much for all your suggestions yesterday for somewhere to stay in the Dordogne this summer, I hope some of you make it to the fab camper in Nashville too (and if you do let us know what it's like!).
Have a lovely day!
Pretty Christmas inspiration in white, pastel and gold
Tuesday 3 December 2013
I'm working from a cafe today, the cold wind's howling outside and I'm all cosy and warm within. On days like this, when the winter's really set in I feel so Christmassy, how about you? I've been squirreling away lots of Scandinavian Christmas inspiration on Pinterest lately and thought I'd share some of it with you today. Now that I see it all together I notice a white theme (no surpise there!), simple branches and trees with a touch of pastel or gold. So pretty!

I feel like I need to run home and start decorating, how about you?!
What colour theme will you go for this Christmas?
More beautiful Christmas decorating inspiration here from Danish brand oisoioi and also don't miss wreath inspiration here (so beautiful that I've actually sent the link to my local florist who said she could make a few of the items for me!).
Have a lovely cosy day!

What a truly personal and unique space! I love how it combines many different styles - art deco, mid-century, romantic - and yet it all comes together in a totally cool way! True inspiration for anyone looking to add a little colour and some fun, quirky touches to their home!
That pink front door (painted in Noble Blush) makes my plain wood one feel sooooo boring now! Could you imagine going all out like this too?!
Get the look from Elsie's home: kitchen - this brass cluster light is similar, I love this pastel green Smeg fridge. Sitting room - leather butterfly chair. Hall -Sisters of the Sun wallpaper, Meurice Chandelier. Modern Media Console. This cactus wallpaper is fun, bold and bright! Rattan hanging chair, The Pink Door, Palm Springs poster. Bathroom - Sputnik chandelier.
I was amazed to find a few of the items are DIY projects - get the tutorials for the Campaign Dresser here (seen under the beautiful 'County Line' print by Max Wanger) and gold cactus wallpaper here! - something for this weekend perhaps?!
Is anyone else suddenly inspired to add a little more colour to their home?!
