Green and Pink Accents in a Beautiful Swedish Family Home

Hi de hi campers! I'm on a roll this morning (finally) having ticked off loads from my to do list (check me out!) - it was a long time coming though as this sunny weather has thrown me off my game completely lately! And now for the fun part of my day - writing about today's home tour. And this one comes in the shape of a beautiful Swedish family home in in Bagarmossen in the outskirts of Stockholm. Janniche Kristoffersen the blogger behind Bloggaibagis) and her husband Johan have been renovating their 1950's house over the space of six years and recently moved back in after installing (a fabulous) new kitchen. The home is a vision in white, green and dusty rose accents - and a true calm, oasis for the Janniche, Johan, daughter Rio and son Otis. Välkommen!

The kitchen cabinets are from Skandinaviska Shakerkök (excited to see they have a showroom in Malmö!) and the countertop is from House of Design Sweden. The walls have been painted in EN.02.84 from Nordsjö.

Mix of Thonet (buy similar here) and vintage chairs,  Resting Feet print by Rosie Pike for Paper Collective.

Eames RAR rocker (and budget version!), gotland sheepskin throw, and Formakami pendant light.

Söderhamn sofa, Pyramid blanket, washed linen cushion cover (striped)

Collection of  Dots by Muuto, Sinnerlig lamp, white linen bed skirt

Cushion made from Water Lilies fabric from Fine Little Day, Hay crinkle plaid throw, wall painted in L8.04.50 from Nordsjö.

Pendant lamp from Afroart, SkÃ¥dis peg board, le sac en papier, source a similar Beni Ourain here.  Postcard / print by Emily Winfield Martin, wall painted in HoP greige from Nordsjö.

Sailor Poster, source a similar vintage wicker chair here, the wall is painted in Dusky Paris from Nordsjö.

Prettiest door painted in D6.07.77 from Nordsjö

Well, I think I might be just about ready to move in. How about you?!

Isn't this the loveliest of homes?! Janniche's style looks so effortless (even though there's no doubt a lot of thought and hard work behind every space.). I particularly love the wall colours in each of the bedrooms.

Is there anything you love in particular?

Follow Janniche's renovations and see what they get up to next over on Bloggaibagis and Instagram!

More homes with touches of green and pink include my friend Tina's beautiful house (can you tell she's a colour expert?!), a Berlin home of many colours and OK, not green and pink specifically - but I just discovered this long lost home of a French photographer and stylist in the archives and I feel it deserves to be uncovered so we can all appreciate it once again. Besides, I'm sure there's some pink and green in there somewhere. Isn't it incredible?!

Have a lovely day!

A Swedish Home with a Touch of Blush

Blush is such a pretty colour and so on trend right now, but the chances are you're not going to want it on every wall in your home (although I'm sure done in the right way it could look pretty cool?!).  That's why I love how the owners of this small space in Gothenburg (currently for sale through Alvhem) compliment the blush in the bedroom with soft beige, green and deeper earthy pinks in the sitting room. Definitely a palette to remember!

Styling: Kristina Cuvier. Photography: Fredrik J Karlsson for Alvhem

So pretty don't you think?

I love the combination of the golden brown throw (similar here), white linen bedding and blush walls in particular.

Incidentally - I painted my daughter's bedroom in a similar colour to the one seen. A word of warning, the right colour totally depends on the light in the room. Some looked like a lovely nude in the paint shop and then lilac on the wall (eeeek!), so it's best to check out a few before you commit! Maybe you have a fail safe tone you can recommend?

Feeling inspired?! This pink trend post might give you some other ideas of ways to incorporate pink into your home (from more subtle hints to entire rooms in different shades!).

Have a lovely evening!

PS Don't miss tomorrow's tour of an artist's cabin - I'm so excited about it!

Blush / Brown Accents in a Lovely Swedish Home

Gooood morgon! I've been busy planning a surprise birthday present for my husband but it looks like the plan may have been foiled - guh! All the same, I'm super excited as we'll be kicking back at one of Sweden's 20 instagrammable places to stay (can you guess which one - which one would you pick?!). In the meantime I'll hopefully be be fueling our passion for interiors with this lovely apartment in Gothenburg, Sweden. There's something about the combination of pink, dark green, dark brown and black which I absolutely love, how about you?!

Photo: Maria Sahlander for Bjurfors

Oh yes, and the apartment is for sale too. Bjurfors, if we buy it can we keep the furniture and accessories too please?!

Could you imagine living here if this was the case?

Trend: Pink's Big Comeback

Pink has slowly but surely sneaked up on us and created its big comeback this year. Thankfully we are talking about a new range of pink: the shades that we are seeing right now are filled with character. The color is making an inherent romanticism resurface—and oh, boy!—aren't we all for it?

By now, we all know pink mixes well with neutrals, making it all the rage in Minimalist homes. No matter how safe or how bold you want to play it—whether you want to bring just a couple of pink accessories to your home or whether you’re ready to paint walls from top to bottom, pink will be the color of 2017.

From beautifully textured walls to dashing pink velvet chairs, scrumptious bedding, wallpaper and more—if you ever wished to be surrounded by pink, this is your time to shine.

Fab pink / grey accents in a small Stockholm pad

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend? It was super sunny here in Southern Sweden (finally), so it was all hands on deck getting our little back yard ready (inspired by these outdoor spaces!). It's amazing what you can fit into a small space - and get it to look good to. As you can see in this small Stockholm studio apartment belonging to interior and set designer Emma Wallmen, which measures a mere 23 square metres (247 square feet)! I absolutely love the colour combination: pink, grey, black and white. And of course those reclaimed glass windows used as a room divider. What a truly inspiring small space?

Fantastic Frank. Photographer: Anna Malmberg. Interior designer: Emma Wallmen. Found via La Maison D'Anna G with thanks.
Love, love love! The home is full of little surprises around every corner!

Is there something you like in particular about this home?

A few items I know and love: sleep / sitting area- I recently stumbled across these fab clothes rails, Hektar lamp, this soft knit throw is similar. Other: this rattan chair is similar, pick up an industrial drinks/bar cart here and spray paint black, SINNERLIG jars, vintage terracotta planters. Kitchen / dining: SINNERLIG cork stool,  Frama diamond light. Hallway: bench, these vases are similar. Bathroom - Aesop and LA:Bruket soaps.

The pink / peach colour is NSC 2020-Y70R and the hallway has been painted in Alcro pigeon grey.

The coffee table books - The Kinfolk Home, Monochrome Home, Freunde Von Freunden: Berlin.

And of course the windows: if you're in the US you might want to snap up these reclaimed windows which are very similar (hurry!). Or keep an eye on this page for other beautiful windows that pop up all over the world.

If you're loving the pink you might want to check out my 'pink' pinterest board....(anyone guess that it's my favourite accent colour?!).

And for more small space inspiration, the way the interior designer has created different zones reminds me of this Gothenburg apartment...very clever! Or why not pay the small space archive a visit, hey, it's Monday, real work doesn't start until Tuesday.....

Have a lovely day!

PS Thank you so much to everyone who entered the give-away this weekend. The winner has now been announced here.....fingers crossed!.....
