Blush is such a pretty colour and so on trend right now, but the chances are you're not going to want it on every wall in your home (although I'm sure done in the right way it could look pretty cool?!). That's why I love how the owners of this small space in Gothenburg (currently for sale through Alvhem) compliment the blush in the bedroom with soft beige, green and deeper earthy pinks in the sitting room. Definitely a palette to remember!
PS Don't miss tomorrow's tour of an artist's cabin - I'm so excited about it!
So pretty don't you think?
I love the combination of the golden brown throw (similar here), white linen bedding and blush walls in particular.
Incidentally - I painted my daughter's bedroom in a similar colour to the one seen. A word of warning, the right colour totally depends on the light in the room. Some looked like a lovely nude in the paint shop and then lilac on the wall (eeeek!), so it's best to check out a few before you commit! Maybe you have a fail safe tone you can recommend?
Feeling inspired?! This pink trend post might give you some other ideas of ways to incorporate pink into your home (from more subtle hints to entire rooms in different shades!).
Have a lovely evening!

Big fan of blush and love this flat. Too bad we can't see the rest of it. Oh and did I tell you I got your book for my birthday? Gift from my favorite bookstore :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, thank you, which one? I wish I could have signed it for you! I hope you enjoy it. Happy belated birthday!
DeleteLagom, hard cover, blue version. Yes, I did enjoy it very much. Loved the paintings in it. The whole is really inspiring. Thanks for the wishes, it was in January ;)
DeleteYou're so right, pink can look lovely if done right. And that hue is spot on. I suggest to try BM Pink Damask OC 72 for those who want just a hint of pink because they don't want to commit to it. BM Strawberry Yogurt 2104-70 is another safe choice, slightly deeper but neutral enough. And for the bold ones, I suggest BM Georgia Pink 2092-60 - deep but very trendy especially when combined with rusty colors.
ReplyDeleteSuch great tips, thank you Velvet!
DeleteI am watching your blog the last weeks and you rock it! You have great posts that I have to save them for inspiration in my Pinterest boards xoxo
