Tjena! Hur är läget?
There’s nothing quite like a cozy home that feels truly lived in. Of course, most homes are full of life in reality—but when it comes to photos, they’re often tidied up for the camera: clutter cleared, paintings straightened, wires neatly tucked away.
As co-founder of the Stockholm-based photography and production agency Sylvie, Frederika Palmstierna is no stranger to beautifully styled and captured interiors. But when it comes to her private Instagram, she prefers a more spontaneous approach—sharing glimpses of her home whenever the mood strikes. It might be a view of her kitchen’s gallery wall as she sips her morning coffee or a snapshot of her dog snoozing on the bed. And in every frame, her unique sense of interior style shines through.
Think mix-and-match dining chairs, charming oil paintings, sculptural figurines, seashells, stacks of well-loved books, and even an incredible mural. Everywhere you look, there’s something to discover.
Enjoy the relaxed tour (and keep a look out for a snoozing 'Caspar'!).
Lovely! So personal, full of character, and packed with interesting furniture and charming details. A perfect tour to set the tone for the week, don’t you think?
Did anything catch your eye? Any details or ideas you’d love to recreate in your own home? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
In the meantime, here are a few more cozy and relaxed home tours to enjoy on this bright day:

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the week!

I loved this home! Especial favorites are the grain sack pillows on the bench and the glass (?) ornaments on the branches for Easter. The candles, artwork, flowers and artwork give the home a textured and homey feel. And the half eaten bowl of spaghetti is just great!!! My 2-year-old and 4-year-old grandchildren visited on Saturday. I took a photo of the living room floor while they were napping to send to my sisters just to show the carpet covered with toys!! It did not look this nice. My home is not blog worthy, but did look "loved in" I guess!!
ReplyDelete: > ) This is a beautiful home. As always, thank you for sharing.
Yes, the grain sack cushions and easter ornaments are lovely! Love that you pointed out the half eaten bowl of spaghetti - it's so clever how she has captured scenes from daily life. Loved that you relayed that about your grandchildren. I remember clearing away toys every night when my children were little - now that they are teenagers, it's mainly clothes!! Still, I forget what it was like so when my sister comes to visit with her little ones it's like a tornado has ripped through the living room. So fun though!! I did miss them when they left!
DeleteWhat a happy, happy home. So many things caught my eye. I especially like the candlestick holders on the table--they look like silver tree trunks to me; the gallery art wall (I think it works here because the ceilings are high--it would look ridiculous in my house--I have tall ceiling envy), and the round candle holder in the window (is there a name for those?). Frederika seems like she would be an interesting conversationalist, based on her home.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you enjoyed this tour Kris. The glass candleholder in the window is lovely. I haven't seen one of these before–hopefully someone can shed some light on where it's from, as I'd also like to know more about it.
DeletePets always find the most comfy spots in a home! There are numerous interesting moments in her house. Love the ambiance in the kitchen with all the patina, varied shiny and aged surfaces, the mirror leaning against the wall, the glass fronted cabinetry. Also enjoyed the vignettes of the desk by the window, her various sculptured bust pieces and those deep window sills, which often seems to be a characteristic feature in the homes you share. The bedroom mural creates a serene setting for Caspar and humans!
ReplyDeleteThank you for pointing out all these lovely details. I have serious windowsill envy from many of the homes I share. Older homes in Scandinavia are blessed with these since the walls are thick to keep the cold out, and the windows always open outwards (presumably because of the snow). It creates such a perfect spot to display beautiful items!
DeleteI love all of it, charming, comfortable, I feel I could walk in there and just help myself to coffee, I love the furnishings and art.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's definitely one of those homes where you feel instantly at home :)
