The Christmas count down has begun. I'm hoping for snow on the outside, and roaring log fires and glowing candle light on the inside! These images set the perfect tone of my ultimate Scandinavian Christmas!

Notice how I snuck in an image of my little 4 year old making snow lanterns with Pappa :) Christmas is all about family after all.
What are you most looking forward to about Christmas?
Snow Lanterns? I've never heard of those but then again, I rarely see that much snow in DC - they seem and look lovely though!
ReplyDeleteI'm most looking forward to traveling back home to see my family all in one city!
Have a safe trip and a lovely Christmas with your family! :)
DeleteSadly think it will be rain in the UK. looking fotward to my bother visiting us, he hasn't spent Christmas with us in years!! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the snow lanterns how does that work?
Snow lanterns were new to me when I first move to Sweden. My Swedish husband's a pro at them however! You make about 10 hand-sized snow balls and arrange them in a circle and on top of each other a bit like if you're making an igloo. Then you place a tea light inside and light it. The balls will protect the candle from the wind and the whole lantern lights up with a warm glow! They're so pretty and can be arranged along the path leading up to your door to welcome Christmas guests :)
DeleteThese images are breathtaking! I just love the clean yet rustic style. And snow lanterns, what a great idea. I think my little 4 year old would like that too :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to gathering with my family and celebrating with my sweetheart. Starting tonight with a party we're attending and continuing all through the weekend!
A three day party? I love your style Jacki! Have a wonderful Christmas!
DeleteGorgeous photos! I look forward to the Christmas table with the food and before that some Champagne. It´s a lot about what to eat and drink in our family during Christmas. Hope you get a great Christmas! Caroline
ReplyDeleteChampagne, Ooooo, send a glass my way :) Skål och god jul Caroline! x
DeleteTime with family! Most excited for that. The presents and all the delicious food we stuff ourselves with is just secondary. I love the last shot of all those tea lights! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely images. I look forward to the joy of my son's gifts.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to take my kids to the beach - only 600 metres from our beach house. Oh and see the look on my sons faces - I got them a pirate ship for Christmas!!

So lovely! Have a great Christmas! :) x
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to a rest. A big, long rest. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, love the contrast of the cold, grey light outside and the golden light within. x
Look at that log burner! I love the mis-matching ikea chairs, so....un-ikea! I have to admit, I never used to like the idea of using ikea, but since I saw this video on how to utilise space in a small kitchen (mine is ridiculously small) it completely changed my perspective. I love ikea now.

Most looking forward to at Christmas? Mine is always the gift wrapping! I swear I was put on this earth to gift wrap! But most of all I love pulling the crackers at the table, wearing silly hats and reading the worst jokes ever. So much fun!

Every photo is wonderful but I have to say the one from Ikea is my fave. Oh, and your daughter, of course!!! Happy Christmas to you and your family!! : )
