A relaxed dutch home with vintage touches

I have to admit, this Tuesday I'm feeling just a little bit bluuuur. I think it could be because my holiday's officially over. It could be that the weather is just a bit cold, cloudy and windy. I'm not sure. But this interior from the FAB Dutch interior magazine VT Wonen which I spotted over at SF Girl By Bay has done a little to lift my spirits at least. It's sooooo cool. I love all the vintage finds, the eclectic mix of furniture and the relaxed vibe. Peeeeerfect.

I really love pink in a home and thankfully my man is just a little bit colour blind and thinks fuschia pink is in fact red.... mwah ha ha ha!

Do you have a favourite accent colour of the moment?

  2. Hi Niki,
I think it is something in the air today in Skåne. I had exactly the same feeling.
Beautiful, beautiful pictures. I don´t have that much accent colors but I wish I had more pink or purple that looks little dirty or washed out.
    See you soon again!

  4. In the Summer, I definitely like greens and navy. I really like the use of the tulip chairs with more rustic pieces here.

  5. LOL thank god my husband is also a bit colour blind...a bit of pink and a lot of pale blue and duck egg in our home. I still love that cherry blossom tree on the wall in this blog post. Have a great start at your work again!

  6. I've always been a big mustard yellow fan when it comes to pops of color. I love the pics you chose. I was going to say that the Expedit unit in the last picture looks like it's wobbly, but then I realized it's a scan from the magazine, haha. Sorry you're feeling a bit blah! Hope your week picks up :)

  7. We've ummed and ahhed over what accent colours to feature and in our minds know that we have to decide or our white box will stay all white! Our first bold purchase was our sofa (3 months after we moved in!) and it's a rich, bright teal colour which I now adore! It adds a little something to the room but the cool tone is in keeping with our (developing)theme. I do love the splashes of pink but as you say that may be an uphill battle with the Mr! x
