They come in all colors, shapes and sizes, from cane to wicker, abaca and rattan; small, medium and exorbitantly big—not to mention they also come in all prices. These beauties can make a stunning and dramatic focal point outdoors or indoors.

These basket shades also bring a more natural feel into any home and it breaks the rough edges of the modern trend by bringing in rich textures and unexpected patterns. If you want to stay ahead of the curve, why not invest in one of these gorgeous lamps?

A Swedish home with sand and blush accents

Why hello there! Monday already is it? Guh! Well don't fear, as I have the most beautiful Swedish home tour to share with you! Located in Gothenburg, it's been styled to perfection (ready for sale) - and is filled with inspiring ideas - as well as some of the latest trends including round mirrors and sand, blush, cream and terracotta accents. Enjoy!

Source: Stadshem

I love this space. It's kind of perfect - all that white, the little nooks, the subtle colour palette. I also like how they've used a simple, yet pretty linen curtain to cover the gap behind the bed (source lightweight linen by the metre here).

Anyone else feeling like you could quite happily chill on that daybed all day?!

Get the look: sitting room - safari daybed, knot cushion (would go beautifully with this blush linen cushion!) source a Beni Ourain rug here. dining area - natural stonewashed linen tablecloth, ant chairs, House Doctor swing wall lamp. Bedroom - sand coloured sheet, duvet cover and pillow cases.

See other beautiful Swedish apartments here - (I'm talking a few hundred - how's that for a Monday treat?!) - as always, if this home pops up first, just scroll passed.

Have a great start to the week!

PS Last week I caught up with Domino Magazine about my new Lagom book, and how I've found balance  - and Bemz about running my own business and how identify with the word 'influencer'. I hope you enjoy the features, it was so fun to participate!

Fabulous loft living in Arnhem!

Helloooo! We've woken up to a beautiful, sunny day here in Malmö. Shame I've a bit of a sore head (if you've been following on Insta stories you'll know this is totally self-induced!) - perhaps a morning dip in the sea will sort me out?! It's said to do wonders for your mind, body and soul (once you get over the initial shock!)?! Hmmm, I'll see. In the meantime, on with today's tour. And we're over to Holland! Do you remember the fabulous The Loft concept store I shared a while back? Well as of a few days ago, you can now stay overnight too - yup! A former dance academy in the charming centre of Arnhem, has been transformed into two magnificent apartments to form The Loft Hotel.  Loving the sound of that, how about you?! Let's take a peek!

I'm feeling like a trip to The Netherlands is in order - how about you?!

Many of the items you see are available in the loft stores - and you can also buy online. More info here.

Other lofts I love include Carlson Young's charasmatic LA loft, a relaxed, family loft in Oakland and a truly inspiring, creative loft in Paris.

Ooooh to own a loft - is this your dream space to work with too?!

Well folks, it's Friday - woohooo! Any fun plans?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, see you Monday!

PS - a little book news: Thank you so much to the lovely Si from French By Design for the tip for today's post - and also for her lovely review of The Scandinavian Home: Interiors inspired by light yesterday - a true compliment (I love Si's style - take a tour of her San Francisco home here!).

And UK friends - Emerald Street are giving away a bundle of coffee table books including my very own Lagom book to 25 lucky winners, it's super quick to enter too!

A beautiful, small Swedish apartment

Why hello there! My Scandinavian Home has spent a couple of days state-side both yesterday (did you see my greenhouse make-over?!) and Tuesday with the launch of my new book. So today, I'm bringing it home with this very charming Swedish space - yay! Interior stylist extraordinaire Emma Fischer has waved her magic wand over the itsy apartment (it measures 35 square metres / 377 square feet) to transform it into a calm haven using muted tones, warm natural materials and an abundance of plants. Look out for small, space saving tricks such as stackable stools, a windowsill doubling up as seating (love that!) and a wall mounted shoe rack too. Beautiful!

Oj oj oj - what a perfect home?! That dining space! And what you don't see in these pictures is that it has a wine cellar too.

Is there anything you love about this home?

Get the look: dining area - Hoffman chair, source a similar basket pot here, Plus cushion cover (I also love the Arrow cushion cover - so cute!). three posters over bench: Leaf lines by Silke Bonde, Abstract Construction by Atelier CPH, Borge Bredenbekk, V by Paper Collective. Sitting room - Bold chair by Moustache, I love this peppercorn linen blanket. Hallway - seagrass belly basket, spotted fabric by the metre from Afroart (currently out of stock - this one is similar). Bedroom - Eyes Wide Shut by Mirjana Kovachevic, pick up beautiful linen throws like these here, Taccia lamp by Flos.

If you're designing / decorating a small space you might want to check out this archive - so many fabulous solutions!

On a slightly different note -  I was so happy to be invited to a press-preview at the new Slettvoll store in Malmö yesterday (check out Instagram Stories for a peek) - I was completely bowled over by the elegance and timeless beauty of the Slettvoll designs as well as the delightful Norwegian heritage. The doors open to the public today, if you're in town you must pop in for a visit! It was great to meet fellow Skåne bloggers Malin Persson (who's beautiful home I shared here) and Daniella Witte (who also has a fabulous home) at the event too!
 Have a lovely day!
