The home of a Swedish fashionista

Things are a little frantic as I'm off to Paris first thing tomorrow for Maison & Objet - wahaaaay! So exciting! I must get packing. Which is perhaps why I felt drawn to the home of Karoline de la Concha today. With over 16 years experience in the fashion industry, Karoline runs a unique and fabulous store with a focus on private shopping, housed within her turn-of-the-century home in Råå, Skåne. Oh how I could do with a creative consultant like Karoline today! Of course, the rest of the home is rather fabulous too. Here are some snapshots....

How lovely would it be to shop here? No queues, no grappling about in the changing room - just cool, calm and collected shopping in beautiful surroundings. What a great concept?!

Since I'm leaving early tomorrow morning the next time I'll be posting is after the weekend, but in the meantime I thought you might enjoy these home tours - all completely different, and all fabulous in their own way:

A happy, eclectic and bohemian world.

Krickelin's beautiful home in Elle Decoration (which I once also showed here).

Theo and Soula's creative studio and home.

And for something back to nature and unwind:

This shot is kind of beautiful and at the same time gives me chills....you?

I love this video!

Have a wonderful weekend, I look forward to reporting back on all the latest interior trends next week.

PS Are you heading to Maison & Objet too?

A lovely Swedish home full of flea market finds

The beauty of the Internet is that you can take a peek inside homes from all round the world without even leaving your coffee spot! Yesterday we were just outside Sydney taking a wander around a beautiful Australian beach house in dreamy seaside blues and today we're taking a tour of an eclectic home in Svedala, just outside Malmö, Sweden! Home to Anja, the blogger behind 'En Klick Smör' and her family, the ethos is very much about 'slow-living'. Kitchen worktops are bursting with homegrown or locally sourced produce and the entire house has been furnished with a delightful mix of flea market finds. The result is a personal home where family happiness and health comes first.

Such a charming home, don't you think? I love the mix of floors (white, black and chequered) and the pretty wallpaper in the hallway.

Is there anything that stands out to you?

Get the look from Anja's home: kitchen - handmade Finnish shingle basket, source a similar vintage industrial pendant here. Dining room - pick up a vintage Bumling pendant light here. Sitting room / bedroom - Pillow me sells a beautiful range of Kilim cushions and pillows. Test Farrow & Ball's range of blues for a similar wall colour.

Going back to that chequered floor. Remember the one in this Swedish home on an island too? Oh so lovely. I'd love to create my own one day - how about you?

Have a lovely day!
