Sponsored post: getting organized with Post-it® notes

We're all familiar with Post-it® notes. After all, they've been around for 35 years (where would we be without the trusty canary yellow Post-it?!). That's why last week I was super excited to receive a package containing a whole load of Post-it® products including the new larger size Post-it® Super sticky Notes! Oh yes! With new size ranges from from XL to XXXL (yes, it's true 'super-size me' stuff going on there), lined or unlined - and in all kinds of vibrant colours such as yellow, pink, orange, purple, green and blue, I finally have a place for my extra long to-do-lists. And no excuse not to get my home office in order (a bit of organisation was well overdue *red face*!). I thought you might like to see the results...

My Scandinavian Home - photo / home Niki Brantmark styling Genevieve Jorn

Looking pretty organised don't you think (my man did a double take when he got home!)?!

I defy you not to love the larger size Post-it® Super sticky Notes. I noticed they really are super sticky, super long lasting, can stick on almost anything and are super restickable too (that's a lot of 'supers'!). The only thing is my girls love them too, so they're disappearing at a rapid rate....another box please?

If you'd like to put them to the test, you can sign-up to receive a free sample in Sweden.

Notice how I still put the trusty smaller canary yellow ones to good use too?

This post is sponsored by 3M. However, all words are my own. I only ever collaborate with partners that I love and which I think you'll love too. Thank you for supporting the sponsors which make My Scandinavian Home possible.

Delightful dark tones in a Stockholm space

Hello Monday! How quickly you came around? But I was already prepared, oh how I was prepared. I'd already ear-marked this fab Stockholm apartment to share with you. The space features everything hot in the world of Scandinavian interiors right now. The love'em or loath'em dark walls in greys and blues (which camp are you?) - in some places two-toned. Dark earthy accessories in indigo, plum, and grey, and a touch of metallic. And perhaps the hottest chair right now - the fabulous Beetle lounge chair! Let's not forget the Flos 265 and IC pendant light and stone-washed bed linen too. I think it'd be rude not to have a nosey around, how about you?!

Bosthlm

I think my favourite part of this home is the guest bedroom in fact. It's so simple, yet so significant (and achievable). You?

Get the look: sitting room - rug, metallic cube table, Äng vase, Beetle lounge chair, Flos Flos 265. Dining - wishbone chairs, Flos IC pendant light. Master bedroom - grey washed linen bedding, moss blanket. Guest bedroom - indigo / denim linen, cork stool.

Try Farrow & Ball paint for similar dark colours

See a full tour of this home over at Bosthlm (where it's currently for sale - yup!).

A little link love from around the web:

A room with a view.

Mini refigerator with attitude.

Take a peek inside Tyra Bank's dressing room (the shoes!).

Love this lighting for a narrow passageway / garden.

Check out the vintage beni ourain and kilim rugs by my new sponsor Maroc Tribal - *In love*!

Have a wonderful start to the week!

PS May your monday be less like this and more like this

The lovely, relaxed home of a fashion designer

Loving that it's Friday already! My home has been turned upside down due to a shoot in my office with friend and stylist Gen of The Youngsters. I'm feeling the weekend vibe all the same, which is why I'm inviting you to step inside the lovely, relaxed home of Domino magazine's cover star Ulla Johnson today. Born and raised in Manhattan, Ulla Johnson lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three children and runs a successful clothing line with an eponymous name featuring beautiful custom prints, intricate embroideries and fine tailoring.  Her home has been decorated using light colours and warm textures and furnished with vintage finds from New York as well as far flung places. Enjoy!

Home-owner - photographer Pia Ulin (shared with thanks). Domino magazine

What a lovely family home, don't you think? And just how adorable is her little girl!

A few tips on where to find similar items- sitting room: sofa from CISCO Brothers, Chandelier, source a beautiful Beni Ourain rug, moroccan wedding cushion, sheepskin throwDining room - Copenhague table. Pick-up a mid-century chest-of-drawers here.

Ulla's clothes are from her lovely clothing line

See a full interview with Ulla over at Domino magazine.

Pia Ulin, the talented photographer behind this shoot hales from Sweden but is also Brooklyn based. I've featured quite a few homes captured by her before - including Jessica De Ruiter's fabulous LA home, a cool, calm and collected Danish home and that Gotland retreat! Yup, she's got that knack....

Right, better get on with that shoot I was talking about...

Have a great one and see you Monday!

PS I love the idea of using a Kimono as styling. I think this one is perfect for rooms with dark blue walls - so pretty.  Oh and perhaps this one rocking Saturday night!

Beautiful linen in a dreamy Norwegian home

Linen. Oh how I love linen. Especially the natural stone washed variety seen in so many homes right now. Whether draped over the sofa, on a headboard, a table or of course on the bed, it immediately softens the look of a room and adds a wistful, romantic touch. Take these dreamy inspiration images created by linen merchants Hale Mercantile Co created in collaboration with Vintage Piken - who's cosy Norwegian home I once also featured here). They make me want to cover my entire home in soft linen - how about you?!

Hale Mercantile Co found via Vintage Piken with thanks

Oh so lovely, don't you think?

All the linen is available at Hale Mercantile Co.

And if you have time today, definitely pour yourself a glass of something cool and take a browse through the vintage piken blog - I love how on the 'about' page it says: 'words are scarce on this blog - please enjoy the silence.' We will, oh we will

More Norwegian homes here.

Have a lovely, *peaceful* day!

PS this is not a sponsored post - I just thought the images were too lovely not to share!

Your Swedish island retreat?!

Hello there! Every now and again a little pearl comes up on the Swedish estate agency market (even though in this instance you could say it's a slightly larger pearl).  Situated in Southern Gotland, an island off the east coast of Sweden, the 18th century house has been renovated in keeping with the beauty and natural wilderness of the island using materials such as wood, stone and natural linen. Oh and did I mention the sea view? Are you ready to be 'herrskapet' of a Gotland manor (at the weekends at least....)...?

Fantastic Frank

My favourite room has to be the master bedroom - so simple yet so beautiful.

How about you?

There aren't so many items to pick out from this home (it's waiting for you to put your signature stamp on it!). But to get started - you can source beautiful bed linen and throws in beige, charcoal and white here, I love this vintage bamboo screen and why not throw in a cosy Gotland sheepskin?

You know what's coming don't you? Yup - all my favourite homes on Gotland (and there are so many!) - definitely check out this idyllic swedish island holiday home, a charming, pared-back holiday home, a small island hide-away, and the boho summer home of a fashion photographer.

Have a lovely day!
