A serene Swedish home in white and wood

I'm writing today's post from a candlelit cafe by the sea here in Southern Sweden.  It's barely daylight and there's a storm raging over the sea. It's feels so cosy to be tucked up inside! Contrary to the weather outside, this Gothenburg space is a picture of calm. I love the black, white, grey, and wood theme with touches of brass. One item that stands out in particular is the vintage brass drinks trolley used as a side table in the sitting room. I could batten down the hatches and ride out a storm in this lovely apartment, how about you?

Rustic Scandinavian Christmas inspiration

This year I love the rustic, pared-back holiday feel. It's all about Christmas trees in glass vases, pared-back branches, pine cones and sheepskin throws. Add to that the rich aroma of piping hot buttered fig and rosemary cider, fresh pine, and cinnamon and I'm well on my way to a cosy rustic Scandinavian Christmas.
