The serene home of a Norwegian photographer

Hello, how are you today?! I'm so inspired by bloggers who capture their home in beautiful ways and inspire with their daily vignettes, creativity and beautiful photography. A fine example of this is the Norwegian blogger / photographer  Elisabeth Heier who features inspiring daily snapshots of her serene white home (if you don't already follow her blog I can definitely recommend it!). Here are a few her latest images.

Simple yet beautiful and serene. I love the layers of white. The black and white photo montage, and the spring flowers. I spy a stool like mine (which I bought from Lovely & Co). I also love the Kubus 4 candleholder - I'm holding out for the copper one which arrives in stores at the end of March.

What do you like most about this home?

Previous shots of Elisabeth's beautiful home can be found here, and her previous home here. So lovely don't you think?

Have a lovely day!

A pretty Gothenburg apartment with a fab work space

Hello Tuesday! It's a beautiful morning here in Southern Sweden. The sun's shining, the sky's blue. Spring's finally arrived and it's time for morning coffees in the garden- yay! This Gothenburg apartment is so Scandinavian fresh with it's white walls, light wood walls, muted tones and natural textures. I'm inspired!

Such a beautiful space don't you think?!

The work space is truly wonderful and not that difficult to achieve. You can get the look using String system shelves, a bright coloured cardboard basket or boxes for stationary, an industrial-style frame fitted with cool Moroccan style tiles (love, love, love these!), a chrome desk lamp and basket for paperwork.

The other thing I like about this apartment is my breakfast's already laid out waiting for me.....boiled egg anyone?!

For other beautiful homes in muted tones it's worth taking a peek at this apartment in Helsinki, this fresh Stockholm space and Tine K's stunning Danish home. *Sigh*.So pretty!

Have a lovely Tuesday!

My new vintage/industrial scissor wall lamp

My new French scissor lamp from the 1940's arrived on Friday, so excited! Since then it's been something of an adventure getting it installed including a trip into town, a lamp shop, an electrical shop and a visit to a pensioners apartment where I met a lovely man in his 80's at a small desk fixing the people of Malmö's lamps. "I do love it when you young people acquire old things" he said, "and this one's a real beauty." By the time I got home I was grinning from ear to ear with my prized possession.. Here are a few pictures of our new lamp, at the centre of our Sunday morning....

What do you think?

I bought it from Daisy Roots France and although Annie doesn't have any more of these particular lights you can find a bunch of vintage / industrial scissor wall lamps here

If you're interested to know where any of the items are from there's lots of information (and photos of my sitting room) here. Otherwise just give me a shout!

Oh and in case you're wondering what my girls are up to - one of them (on the sofa) was watching how to make cakes on You Tube (her favourite viewing pastime!) and the other was watching Pippi Longstocking on my phone ("she's so stroooong Mummy"), so sweet! I do love a lazy Sunday morning.

What did you get up to this weekend?

A perfect Parisien home

Iiiiiiiit's Friday - woohoo! Any great plans for the weekend? After spotting this absolutely stunning home in Paris over at Anna Gillar,  I wish I was heading to the French capital for the weekend. The space was designed by A+B Kasha and photographed by the talented Swedish photographer Idha Lindhag. It's simply beautiful in every way.

I'm not even sure where to start with what I love about this home so much, so I'll just say every image brings with it a new surprise and refreshing style. What do you love about this home?

Other inspiring Parisien homes include this beautifully simple Parisien apartment (also available to rent - perfect!), a Paris pad with a pop and a fizz, and the home of Vosges Paris blogger Desiree.

I hope you have an absolutely lovely couple of days and see you Monday. Bon weekend!
