A fantastic Berlin home

It's Friday, yaaaay! To polish off an inspiring week of home tours I thought I'd share this extremely fabulous home in Berlin with you. Found via the wonderful blog 79 ideas and published here with kind permission from the photographer Stefan Wolf Lucks and the architect Karhard, this home which is made up of two apartments merged together is teeming with some of my favourite Scandinavian pieces. I also love the way the rooms have been divided up (painted rustic wood wall anyone?!). What a great home!

I spy a whole host of Scandinavian designer chairs: Eames DSR side chairs, Vitra wire chair DKR, and Aluminium Group EA chair around the dining table and the Plywood Group DCW chair and the red and white Panton Chair  (15% off with code MYSCAN!). What a collection!

If I had to choose one thing I love the most about this home (apart from the beautiful light and airy space) it would have to be the colours in the bedroom; the dark green with the red and orange. Such a pretty combination.

What about you?

So, now it's time for the weekend! We're just going to hang out this weekend and (hopefully) enjoy the sunshine. I might even brave the sea (18C Brrrr!). What are you up to?

A happy home in Malmö

Yesterday I showed the happy home of Elina Dahl and today I was really inspired to come across another happy home, here in Malmö (oh yes, this is turning into one happy week!). The amount of TLC that Klara Ripa has put into her former family home here in Malmö is quite incredible, there isn't a single item left untouched, she has put her personal stamp on everything. So inspiring!

This apartment is very different from the style I usually show on here but it really makes me smile. I love the kitchen with it's bright colours (yellow radiator and pipes? But of course!),the handmade paper garlands in the sitting room, the fantastic bold and bright children's room and also the little red chest of drawers with handmade beaded handles, it's made me look around my iwn home to see what I can do with what I have already.

I love the way it's been photographed by Dos Family too (you can see more pictures here).

What do you think?

PS if you feel inspired by the cute kids clothing here, check out the super cool children's clothes over at online shop Loja Dada  :) there's a sale on too!

Elina Dahl's happy home

This apartment belongs to talented Swedish designer Elina Dahl (currently for sale). It looks like such a happy home. I love the choice of colours in the sitting room, and Elina's wonderful prints through out.

We need a post sorter like this in our home - our post is soooo messy with piles of it all over the breakfast bar. Someone once told me that you should only ever handle an item you receive in the post once; i.e. as soon as you open it, file it / recycle it/ whatever immediately. How are you with this?! I'm hopeless despite best efforts!

If you like Elina's prints, you could try your luck in her give-away to win a print of your choice this week. And while we're in the mood for competitions (always) there's a great one over at Nest to win an original 1227 Anglepoise Desk Lamp here.

Have a lovely day!
