Boho - Norwegian style

Hello! How was the weekend?! Our house was hit by the dreaded MAN FLU so it was just me and my little girls. We still managed to have a cosy couple of days with a lovely walk along a beach thrown in. How about you? Last week I spotted a beautiful dining space and I thought WOW (you know how I love sheepskin draped over chairs!), so I did a bit of digging and contacted Line Kay of Norwegian shop Vintagepiken who gave me kind permission to show more of her incredibly inspirational instagram interior shots....

Line Kay of Vintagepiken with kind permission. With thanks also to Stil Inspiration

So beautiful don't you think? I'm going to call it bo-ho-with-a-romantic-Norwegian-touch! If it's your kind of style, you can see more inspirational pics on Line's beautiful blog here

Get the look? I found long-haired sheepskin rugs over at La Maison D'Anna G's shop :) hooray! I'll be adding one to my birthday wishlist! I have a similar chinese workman's stool which I bought at Lovely & Company. Get an Eames DSR chair at Design Collectors (15% off with code MYSCAN). Oh so lovely!

PS Get well soon man :)

A white Gothenburg apartment tour

Is it just me or has this been one very long week?! I am soooo happy it's Friday and plan on having a GREAT weekend, how about you?! Before I head off I'd like to share a great little space from Stadhem's archives. Cue white floors and walls, pictures hung to perfection and a generally light, bright and relaxed Swedish apartment. A perfect way to bring in the weekend!

Stadshem
I particularly love the selection of pictures they make such a difference to the space. Anything stand out to you?

If you're up for some shopping this weekend Swedish interior designer extraordinaire Lotta Agaton has opened an online pop-up shop! Needless to say I love everything in it, I guess it helps that I'm a big fan of her work (I love Lotta's home and this home she recently designed. So fab!).

I hope you have a really wonderful weekend!

The beautiful home of a Danish designer

This is another of those homes which stops me in my tracks. It's the fantastic apartment of Danish designer Michala Wiesneck who was raised in a free-spirited, artistic family and travelled the world with her parents from an early age. Michala's childhood is clearly reflected in her relaxed, eclectic home and the clothes she designs. I love the mix of antiques and flee market finds as well as the way she has combined furniture and accessories from different cultures. This is exactly my kind of style. Beautiful.

What do you think of this relaxed, bohemian style? Any part of the home you particularly love?

I love the current trend of adding a touch of ehtnicity whether through textiles or furniture, it's making me want to visit Marrakesh and wander the souks. Until then I'll get my fix at shops like Moroccan Bazaar. I've got my eye on this candle lantern, the nude moroccan pouffe and a white tagine for entertaining, oh and I wouldn't mind this kilim rug too! Have you been or planning to go to Morocco?

Art photography in a Malmö home

Morning and happy 'lilla lördag' (Little Saturday as it's called in Sweden)! Bringing the blog home today with a tour of a beautiful apartment currently for sale in Malmö. Sometimes simple works best, as the pared-down look of this monochrome space shows. The owners have carefully selected a few Scandinavian designer pieces such as the wishbone chair, cross blanket and bumling light and spiced it up with some very cool art photography.

Bo-laget via La Maison D'Anna G with thanks
What do you think? Too sparse or just right?

I also spy what looks like a pair of the Vitra Occasional table's in the sitting room as well as an Eames DAR (15% off with code MYSCAN). Oh and while on the subject of designer furniture, Design Collectors are currently offering a free Ottoman when you purchase a Lounge Chair. On the case!

PS I came across a really exciting website yesterday that allows you to create your own typography poster! Quite cool don't you think? What motto would you go for? I think I'd got something like: 'She believed she could. So she did'.

The Danish home on a hill

This Danish home is just to cool for school. White floors and walls? Tick! Original period features? Tick! A perfect mix of modern contemporary and antique, cool art and a touch of blue.... tick tick tick! It's the home of Anne Dorte Michelsen, a successful Danish singer and songwriter, her actor husband, and their teenage children. As a child Anne built homes out of lego and dreamt of becoming an architect. These days she still demonstrates her love of all things interior having renovated this beautiful 1918 home on a hill outside Copenhagen.
