It's raining here for the first time in weeks and, to be honest, it's so welcome. The humidity is finally lifting, and it means you can actually get a few things done around the house. Even so, I hope it doesn't last too long!
In Gothenburg, I know two children who'll be happy to be staying indoors today, the three daughters of interior stylist Gabriella Belin. Their bedroom is so lovely, with its big desk, open shelving, and playful bed (all of which I would have absolutely loved as a child!).
Signs of Gabriella's talent as an interior stylist shine through in the rest of her home too, with its beautiful earthy tones, clever design solutions, effortless style, designer lighting, and a very cool ceramic shelf, as well as carefully chosen furniture sourced from antique and vintage shops. I also spotted the Gotain Sweet pea fabric in the kitchen once again, it's definitely the curtain of the moment! I'm tempted to follow suit. How about you? I hope you enjoy these lovely corners.

ReplyDeleteThe lamps are LOVELY! Since many of them are designer you should be able to find them in the UK. If you save the image of the lamps you like you can do a google search and it will show you the name of the lamp and where you can buy it.

DeleteCircles and spheres. That was my first thought, that she likes round things in her decorating, perhaps to balance the clean angles? Round lights, coffee table, even the flowers are spherical.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the other commenters--the built-in cabinet (love those!) in the kitchen, the sweet kitchen corner with the open window and lilacs, and oh, the children's space. I love how she centered the doll's house so that it is framed by the doorway, and I agree, what a pleasant indoor space to spend a rainy day.
Are you at the end of your wicked hot weather, Niki? We've had a very hot (and humid--boo!) week in much of the US. Very grateful that we live close to lots of beaches. :)

DeleteI hope it's cooled down for you now. We've had a few days respite, and some perfect weather coming up in the low 20s (degrees celsius) which is my kind of temperature and very Swedish!
