Josef Frank is a staple in Swedish homes, but it’s so fun to see a growing interest among younger generations, and even further afield beyond Sweden. Are you a fan of Josef Frank’s designs too?
Another major comeback we’ve been seeing for a while now is blue and white porcelain by the likes of Royal Copenhagen. Of course, it has never really gone out of style in Denmark or the UK. My mother has always had a collection on her Welsh dresser. But it’s lovely to see it being embraced by a younger generation as well. I’ve had my eye on these mugs with initials in particular for a while now, but they are a little steep budget-wise!
Did anything stand out to you about this lovely home? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Love the use of striking colors and bold patterns in an artsy, cheery home with good bones, abundance of light and parquet floors!
ReplyDeleteAm fond of the kitchen cabinet color, same as in Tone's home - upper cabinets. The open shelving has been designed well! The PH-80 Table lamp with its red top stands out. Love the use of colors, botanical patterns and curtains.
Left to me, would have one pattern at the dining table, table cloth or the rug- both are lovely, and the same with the master bedroom, bedspread or wall.
I've never been a fan of grey but the light/dove grey looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the splashes of colour and pattern. Enjoy the journey.
I enjoyed my tour of this home. There is a lot of pattern, yet it does not seem "busy" in any way....there are still plenty of calm spaces to rest your eyes. I love, love, love the plaster work around the ceilings! Beautiful! Best wishes ot Alice in her gymnastics competetion!! Happy Spring!! : > )
ReplyDeleteI love the clover wallpaper!! Do you know a source for it in the US?
ReplyDeleteWell, isn't this bright and cheerful? I, too, am tired of gray and brown. Seeing the grass slowly green up and the buds popping brings a smile to my face. The first picture, with the blue and white tablecloth, red checked rug, tulips, and lemon plant, give the feeling of open windows and fresh air. Is that a lamp by the bench in front of the window? I like the flowers growing in the clam shell (is that a clam shell? I live by fresh water, not sea water). Have a great weekend, and good luck to Alice.
