As always, when travelling, the world opens up a little — and suddenly you feel like you could just keep going. Don’t worry, family. I am actually coming home. Still, I do have a long-held dream of visiting Tasmania one day, and I’ve just found another stay to add to my ever-growing list: The Stable Lofts.
Housed within a historic converted stable, The 'Pony' is a charming mudbrick loft set right in the heart of rustic Tasmanian country life. The listing describes it as being surrounded by lush gardens, serenaded by birdsong and visited by wallabies at dusk and dawn — a place where time slows down. The perfect setting for a romantic weekend escape. And, I’m completely there for it (virtually, for now).
I love the simplicity of it all: the whites and warm wood tones, the carefully chosen vintage finds, the sense of calm throughout. It looks like the perfect place to truly unwind. Come and enjoy the tour with me.

I'd love to visit Australia and New Zealand. Both countries have been on my travel list for years. Would probably have to spend one to two months there to feel like one has seen at least a minimum of both countries. The first week or so of vacation is magical - all the days stretching out in front of you — things to do, places to see, and depending where, family and friends to visit. At the end, I'm usually ready to go home and sleep in my own bed. While I miss going to the hotel breakfast buffets, in the nordic countries at least, so nice to make my own tea or coffee at home again. Thanks Niki, Pirjo
ReplyDeleteI love this home so much! Birdsong and wallaby visits sound like such fun!! I like the peaceful nature of the house and was thrilled to see the lighter, more natural wood floors contrasting with the darker woodwork. We are currently redoing farmhouse floors and are going to try that exact combination!! I love the touches of blue as well. Over the years your Tasmanian houses have interested me in that part of the world! Thank you, Niki. I am in agreement that “be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home”!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely space. I love everything about it.
