I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying blogging (and instagram) this December - from cosy spaces and christmas trees to winter kayaking (cue - a new instagram favourite) and gift give-aways, it's all been so inspiring, I hope you've been enjoying it too? Today we woke up to clear blue skies here in southern sweden - which I think calls for something fresh, don't you?! This lovely home in Gothenburg, Sweden fits the bill perfectly with its soft tones and natural textures. Think white walls wooden furniture, jute rugs and layers of texture...

Perfect!
With lots of guests coming to stay this December I'm thinking how great it would be to have a wooden clothes rail like this one - anyone know where it's from?
And I love the lighting in this apartment: you can't go wrong with the Aurora Vita feather pendant and the fab Z1 pendant (I've got this in my bedroom and it looks especially beautiful when the light is dimmed). This knitted lamp is similar to the one over the kitchen table.
Is there anything that stands out to you?
Have a great start to the week!

This isn't related to this post, but I'd love to hear about your birthday surprise! Especially what you wore the formal evening gown for. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking, it was an amazing weekend Emily! I was flewn to Stockholm where my husband had organised for me to have my hair done (sweet him!!) before going to a dinner party followed by the Nobel After Party starting at 11pm!! It was incredible - every room had a different theme from 1920's (with a swing band and flapper girls), a champagne and oyster bar, a silent night club where everyone wore headphones with the same music, a photo booth, an ochestral room, a rave, an outdoor barbecue in the snow, you name it! Everyone who worked there was in fancy dress and there were magicians and other entertainers floating through the crowd. It finished at 5am - I'm still recovering!!
DeleteWow, that sounds absolutely incredible! Thank you for sharing!
