A romantic Swedish home with vintage touches

Even though I've published over 1000 Scandinavian home tours here on My Scandinavian Home, there are some spaces which really stand out. This Swedish family home in Gothenburg is one of them. And now it's time for owners Cattis, Robert and their daughter Stella to move on. How they can part with this beautiful home with it's magnificent garden doors, exposed brick walls, sweeping staircase and romantic wallpapers is beyond me. But one thing's for sure, I'm sure their next home will be equally, if not more, fabulous! And whoever snaps up this space (for sale here) is very lucky indeed! Tempted?!

Homeowner: Cattis / Another side of this life. Entrance.

It could be that the style looks a little English with it's patterned wallpaper, retro kitchen tiles and rows of books. Or it could simply be that the owners have created a truly personal, unique and relaxed space with a lovely romantic touch. Either way, I absolutely love this home!

Could you imagine living here?

Get the look: kitchen - cube illusion tiles in grey look similar, Vitra hang-it-all,  Tom Dixon Etch light, source beautiful vintage mirrors here, I love these vintage Thonet chairs similar to the ones seen in the dining area. Sitting room - vintage string shelving, find a similar macrame wall hanging here, seagrass basketBedroom: Linen bedding. William Morris wallpaper.

You can see more pictures of this lovely space here. It's also worth putting your feet up and browsing Cattis' blog which often features lovely snapshots of family life within the home.

Have a lovely day!

  1. Probably my favorite home ever on your blog! Extraordinary!

  2. A really wonderful intereur, beautyful Fotos with so much charme.
    Kind Regards, Doris

  3. Ohmygoddness, this home is everything! So many photos I want to pin, and will... Haha. Thank you for sharing this!!

  4. and very good taste ... and I noticed my favourite design accessories, too :)

  5. What a lovely place and the colour palette is so inviting!

  6. Each room is spectacular. Absolutely lovely in every way! I love the green in the kitchen and the use of a mirror in that room is very creative. Comfortable and elegant at the same time...decorating perfection!

  7. Beautiful and comfortable home with personality created with mostly "old"/antique furniture and accessories - rather than the often seen homes bulk bought from one contemporary shop or furnished with largely the must-haves of today. Very special! Methinks inspo for another book maybe...?

  8. What a lovely home. My favorite room is the living area with its books and collection of vinyl records.

  9. That kitchen door and spiral staircase! They're both my favorite =D
