Grey / white and a cute kids room in a lovely Swedish space

It's almost the weeeeekend - woohoo! And this one's especially exciting for me as I'll be packing for my trip to New York on Monday (I'm heading over to work on my book - eeeeeeee!). But first, today's home tour. And what a lovely Swedish monochrome toned one it is. Simple and calm with clever space-saving solutions (desk and wall to wall string shelving in the hall - got to love that idea!). A perfect home to complete the week, don't you think?

How lovely is that children's room?!

Quick guide: sitting room: Paris print / House Doctor rug / Muuto light / Sheepskin rug / Moroccan pouf. Hallway: string shelves / task light / Hay boxes. Bedroom: floor lamp / linen bedding / buy a selection of prints from The Poster Club. Children's room: similar bunting / star cushion / chest-of-drawers / rucksack / throw / train set (Smallable sells beautiful decor for children's rooms).

See more white and grey home tours here, here and here. And I'm loving all these children's bedrooms.

Have a really great weekend and see you Monday!

PS Next week will be my first time in Upstate New York (Hudson Valley, Catskill mountains...) I can't wait! I'd be so grateful for any tips you might have?! I promise to share a few pics on instagram!

  1. With respect, how is a child going to reach those tempting books, so high up on the wall, in the child's bedroom? Tricky.

    1. They are quite high! it's a nice idea to have them on display like this though isn't it (if placed according to the child's height).

  2. Ohh, this house is lovely! I'd love staying in it. There's so much light coming in. It's a lot of joy in there.

  3. I love this home! I do remember that I was renting out a similar place in Stockholm while I was visiting there. The place had tons of light coming in, which in the Swedish summer is actually a negative because I wasn't able to sleep. Dark curtains are a must for any home to get a good night's sleep.

  4. I love the child's bedroom! It's so clean and modern looking. I have recently had a bit of a makeover to incorporate soft and neutral tones, similar to the above in my little girls room. I fell in love with the Snurk bedding range which has some of the most beautiful designs for children's bedding. My favourite, which would certainly match a modern bedroom is the geometric butterfly cover. I just wish they made it in king size for my bed ;) - http://www.cuckooland.com/dnc/cuckooland/product/44656/snurk-childrens-butterfly-duvet-bedding-set
