Guest post: a mid-century modern Swedish home

Hi, I'm Hanna of the blog Doyoufancythis.com and today I will be guest blogging for My Scandinavian Home. I must say it is such a delight to research and choose the right homes and features for you to see. Since my last guest post for Niki was on a more trendy, yet sophisticated home I thought I would show you something completely different.

This midcentury modern house, located in Ronneby, Blekinge, Sweden was built in 1965 and shares several ideas on how to make a modern sixties house feel quite classical. Take a special look at the serene shades of light grey, dusky blue, white with black details and a surprising pop of orange, the lighting and lamps (I spot several design classics) and the photo art. What do you think?

  1. Oooh! Does anyone know where the eames bird (at least it looks like it!) print might be from? I recently saw it somewhere else (unfortunately can't find it back now) and i LOVE it!!! :)

    1. Hi! I'm not sure it it is a poster... I've searched for it but can't seem to find it anywhere. I got a hit on Etsy if you search for Eames House Bird Poster on a wall sticker but that's it. Maybe it is homemade? /Hanna

    2. Yeah, I tried Etsy as well, and google pictures in general, but without any luck though! But I saw it here (http://www.79ideas.org/2014/02/cozy-apartment-in-sweden.html#.UwIOp_l5NTQ) too, so I don't think it's homemade! Anyone else having any clues? :)
