Hello people. If your spirits need lifting this week, this Gothenburg apartment is like a breath of fresh air. Of course it's been styled but in such a pretty way and just look how much art can do to a space?

London friends...The Clerkenwell Design Week starts today, it's free and a square mile of street carnival! If you're going a long stop by and check out The Reclaimed Flooring Company (located on the first floor of the 'Open Studios' in the Root 5 collective).

I love everything about that first photo. The light, the plants, the painting. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteThis is great. Thanks for posting! Hope you don't mind if I share? Http://livinglavidalagom.com. Cheers! Tina
ReplyDeleteThe simplicity (uncluttered) design helps draw attention to all the unique detail (furniture + architecture). I love the pic entering the dining room with the hung art saying helloooooooo. Aaaaand how fireplace / wall shelf/ kitchen cabinet extend to the ceiling = LOVE.
ReplyDeleteAre these fireplaces good heat-producers. I have forgotten their correct name. I could live in just about any one of these apartments that you feature; as long as it has in-suite washer/dryer, a balcony, and lots of light (as most of them seem to) and an elevator if the apartment is above the first floor (bad knees and stairs are not compatible). I love your blog and dream about living in one of these apartments. Thank you for all of the beauty that you show.
ReplyDeleteIn Swedish they're called 'kakelugn'. On wikipedia it says they have high efficiency and emit heat for several hours and don't need much stoking. Perhaps someone has one and can let us know? They're so beautiful aren't they?
Deletei love that the floors aren't perfectly white...it warms the rest of the white up a bit, and the subtle contrast is really nice. lovely home.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the floors.
DeleteWow! I really adore this
ReplyDeleteohh i really love the lightness of the space and the floors are amazing, my favourite room is the dining room looking out at the patio - beautiful!
ReplyDeletecan i love everything? i especially love the fireplace (of course), the floors, the windows, and i always love a eat-in kitchen space.
ReplyDeleteI love this light gray carpet in livingroom!

ReplyDeleteWhen careful Swedes home stylists "chicken out," usually apply to the choice of sofa - same here. Will the environment be really good, you should also rotate the couch, set in the middle of the room, perhaps directed against the stove. We Swedes have the ability to set our seating along the walls (decorate for television). This environment is still very good, one of the better.
