I hope you had a lovely weekend! Here in Sweden we were in for a treat - SNOW! According to tradition my little family and I went out to a sustainable forest and chopped down our own tree which we celebrated with glögg and hot chocolate (it was minus 5 after all BRRRRR!). Here are a few pictures of our shiny new Christmas tree!

Altogether now 'Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches....!´:) Notice how much our tree is leaning in the photo with my little girls in their PJ's! TIMBER!
What did you get up to this weekend? Did you celebrate the first day of advent or are you not quite there yet with the festive season?!
PPS Don't foget to enter the Christmas GIVE-AWAY! :)
Ohhh Niki, I just love the Christmas tree and the fresh white decoration. This gave me great inspiration for next weekend when I hope we will buy our Christmas tree. We spent first day of advent with decorating and with a nice walk in the winterland.
ReplyDeleteHello and thank you for your comment on my post about Ylva Skarp.

Thank you! The tree is fresh from a sustainable forest farm here in Skåne, we went and chopped it down on Saturday (with permission from the land owner!). It's amazing how small they look in the forest and then you bring them home and they look massive! Enjoy the snow ans light too x
DeleteOh wow, this is simply gorgeous. I love it. I think Christmas tree's are meant to lean. We got our tree on the weekend too. The smell of pine each time we enter the house is heaven!
ReplyDeleteyou have a lovely house! I'll be visiting Norway this winter vacation to visit my bf's family, and so anything scandinavian intrigues me these days... and I keep hearing that it will be so cold there ... but your house seems so warm and inviting and cozy!

Your tree looks really gorgeous Niki. I'm sure the lean only confirms it as real! Bet it smells beautiful too. And look how gorgeous your bulbs look. They look as though they'll be perfectly timed for Christmas also. Keep warm!

The tree looks so nice! We haven't had a real tree in YEARS and I have to say I really miss it. The idea of a sustainable forest is really cool :)
ReplyDeleteLooks absolutely fantastic! What lovely decorations - I've given up and last year I had bright blue Star War keyrings everywhere in the tree(!) Do you let your little ones decorate another tree aswell with all the things they bring home from pre school - or how do you manage to keep them away from your stylish one?:) Name of sustaianble forest farm - want one too!!
ReplyDeleteHi Malin, the farm was in dalby next ti the national park. This weekend they will have glögg, and sausages over an open fire! Love the sound of your star war tree! I haven't been the lucky recipient of any decorations from the girls but when I do they'll take pride of place! X
