my scandinavian home: A Swedish family home outside Stockholm

A Swedish family home outside Stockholm

Wednesday, 20 May 2015

This is the lovely home of Emma Johansson, Mikael Hedenborn and their baby son Carl-Philip. Located just outside Stockholm and captured by Amelia Widell, the home is full of flee market finds, items from auction and even furniture from their childhood homes. Emma gets most of her interior inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest, blogs and magazines (a girl after my own heart!). Let's take a look around...

I love the tea cups, tins and glass jars used as plant holders and white linen hung over the bed for a romantic feel.

Is there anything that stands out to you?

I'm having a few technical issues this morning (guh, don't you hate it when the Internet won't play ball?!) and creating this post on my miniscule mobile phone screen from a Danish B&B so I apologise for any errors! It's the final day of my Danish photo shoot today so I'm looking forward to heading back to Sweden tonight to see my little family.

Are you up to anything fun?

Have a lovely day!

  1. Gorgeous place. I love the lampshade - want one, too! :)

  2. Beautiful place!
From your blog, I am under the impression that the entire Sweden (or perhaps the entire Scandinavia) lives in these spacious apartments flooded with tons of natural light and blessed with high ceilings. And people are capable of exercising restraint and filling their homes with only objects/things that matter to them and that are esthetically beautiful at the same time.
Such a breath of fresh air when compared to North America (I liven in Canada but is not much different from the US in this respect) where consumerism is rampant and not only homes but also garages are packed to the rafters with unused stuff.

Thank you for your blog. I come here to admire, dream and drool. The photographs are very inspiring and I am excited to read a mention of an upcoming book. Yay! Please keep posting.
