A fab black and white home in South Sweden

One of the best things about being on vacation (apart from the sand time of course :) is that when I get back the blogosphere is teeming with fabulous homes I've missed! Sorry if you've seen this one before but it's way to fabulous to miss! It's the home of stylist Sofia Odier and her photographer husband Nils Odier here in Southern Sweden. Loving the country and modern mix in monochrome and that oh so comfy indoor hammock!

Photographer: Pia Ullin with kind permission, Stylist Lotta Agaton for Residence magazine

I love all the vignettes with bell jars, apothecary bottles, fig trees etc and of course the wishbone chairs (currently on sale here)! I'll never tire of an eclectic mix of chairs around a dining table either and currently have my eye on the Thonet 214 chair to add to my mix.

I also absolutely love the edgy photography. Does anyone have any tips on where to buy cool photogaphy online?

What do you like about this home?

I'm coveting the dining room table. I bet you can find some cool photography on Etsy.

The whole house is only black and white. That makes very intresting effect! Great idea to compose it like this ;)

Love all those Thonet chairs! And do you want to hear something devastating? I have that Pia Wallen crux blanket in cotton, and my dog ate a hole in one end. I still use the blanket!

Check out Etsy or even on Flickr. You could contact some photographers you like and easily arrange to buy some prints. Welcome home, by the way! xo

Even if my home is full of colors, I love this black and white inspiration. Beautiful :-)

Fell in love with all the furniture. Was literally brainstorming for ideas for my home staging which is due next week. This is nothing short of fabulous. Kudos to the designer.

Could it be a 'Fatboy' (http://www.fatboy.com/) hung from the ceiling?

Anonymous said...

Maybe it is a fatboy.. But im not sure. It doesn't look exactly the same, but maybe you could hang up this kind of fatboy http://www.fatboy.com/nl/shop/voor-binnen/zitzak-buggle-up instead of using it as a chair.. My only concern is the weight of the fatboy.. but i will keep searching after it. Must have! Love your blog btw ;)
