A white Gothenburg apartment

What would a week be here on My Scandinavian Home without a home tour from one of my favourite Swedish estate agents?! This home in Gothenburg is a vision in all white softened by the exposed brick wall, black furniture and touches of geometric fabrics. Beautifully styled and photographed by Stadshem.

I think my idea to steal here are the industrial bare lightbulbs in the kitchen hung at different heights. What about you?

PS I spy the very cool Thonet chairs (15% off with discount MYSCAN :) again in the kitchen- they're everywhere this year (the Eames of 2013?). I also spy what looks like the Muuto stacked shelving system in the hallway.

I'm heading off to a great friend of mine's wedding this weekend, so exciting! I hope I'll get the chance to blog tomorrow but in case I don't, have a fantastic weekend!

A monochrome Melbourne home

Today's home has a very different look from yesterday's Stockholm apartment, even though they are both decorated in monochrome. This double fronted weatherboard cottage in Melbourne was seamlessly adapted by Techne Architects. I love the way the light falls in the house and the way wood is used to soften the black and white interior.

Pretty cool right? I love the book shelves (and of course the 'Hungry Caterpillar' book in the fireplace - did you read this as a child?).

Which monochrome home is more your style - today's or yesterdays? Or perhaps this Finnish one or this Danish one?! So many different ways to do black and white!

A stunning Stockholm home

Every now again I come across a real cracker of a home and when I do, I get so excited that I can't wait to share it with you and hear your thoughts! This is one of them. It comes as no surprise that this Stockholm apartment (currently for sale) belongs to the owners of beautiful Swedish interior shop Artilleriet. Simply fabulous, I'm not sure where to start.....

What do you think, could you live here?

I spy oodles of designer furniture including the Thonet chairs (15% off with code MYSCAN), Bombay print, No early beds writing desk, and Gubi Adnet Mirror

Have a lovely day!
