Tant Johanna's beautiful Stockholm apartment

You may remember this Gothenburg apartment back in the spring? It was the former home of Johanna of Lovely Life/Tant Johanna blog fame. Johanna and her boyfriend sold up and moved to Stockholm. This home is actually only 43 metres square. Johanna's top tips for decorating a small space are to use storage to 'swallow up' items, and make use of every single square metre, for example, they also use the hallway as a home office space. Mirrors have been used to bounce light around the apartment and create the feeling of space. The result is a lovely, light, living space which oozes personality and charm.

Johanna and her boyfriend are now on the move again back to Gothenburg. They live by the same motto as I do - 'just go, and if it doesn't work out you can always move back again!'.

And the good news for us? Johanna will be renovating a new apartment. Follow the developments here!

PS For more inspiration on decorating small spaces check out this, this and this apartment. Amazing what you can do with limited space.

A fun children's space in the Netherlands

Morning! I hope you had a great weekend? I got back from Berlin yesterday, I've never been before, have you? It's such a cool city! It's good to be home and see my guy and little girls too though. Today I'd like to share this very cute children's bedroom with you from the home of Femke Dekker of interiors shop Femkeido in the Netherlands. I love the grey, white and pops of colour. And that rustic bunk bed which looks like it's been lifted straight out of a Scandinavian summer cottage!

On the subject of little ones, I am excited to announce a shiny new sponsor in the My Scandinavian Home team! Smallable is an award winning fashion and design concept store for 0-16 year olds selling incredibly cool clothes and furniture for children. I love the back to school section and will be getting my girls one of the backpacks or satchels. Don't miss the very cool children's/teenagers desks, desk lamps and chairs section too, and there's all those clothes of course...... For the latest updates you can sign up for their newsletter here. I'm on it!

A relaxed monochrome apartment in Malmö

It's the weekend! Yaaaaay! To celebrate I've chosen an apartment close to home. This space feels so familiar as many of my friends have lived in similar pads in Malmö. There's something beautiful about the high ceilings, original wood flooring and double doors thrown open between each room. I also love the relaxed style and monochrome theme....if you're thinking of moving to Malmö it's for sale here!

Do you go for black and white or do you prefer flashes of colour? Or perhaps pastels?

Some of my favourite black and white homes to date are this one in Helsinki, this beautiful Copenhagen apartment and this cosy Malmö home. Perfect monochrome inspiration!

Are you up to anything cool this weekend? I'm in Berlin today (such a fantastic city, I've never been before!) and heading home to see my little family in Sweden shortly -can't wait!  Hopefully I'll arrive before my 5 year old loses her first tooth. Hurry!

Have a fantastic weekend and see you Monday!
