Flower bed

Keeping with today's plant theme, I LOVE this bedroom shown in Bo Bedre. The tree bedding is from By Nord. In scandinavia it's more usual for couples to have their own single duvet rather than share a double, which is why this symmetrical tree design is so clever.....what do you think?

Hot plant

Hi friends! The Scandiavian plant of the moment is Corokia 'silver ghost'. It is very dark, silvery and beautiful and it's taking the interior world by storm. Here's how the Norwegian interior design guru's are displaying theirs...

Since it's raining and I'm sitting in a cosy café, I've got all the time in the world to look at beautiful home interiors. Why can't everyday be like this?! Back in a bit with some more pics! Kram!

Colourful in Copenhagen

Morning all! I've found the perfect apartment crammed with colours that 'fizz' and 'pop' to brighten up your Tuesday! What do you think of this zingy home of Nicolai Eis in Copenhagen featured in Bolig Magasinet? I can't believe it's only 42 metres square, what a clever use of space and so inspiring for anyone living in a small pad.

Try Lauritz for a beautiful classic Wegner Shell Chair  FH1936

Find a Flowerpot VP1 light pendent like this blue one at ylighting. The Hang It All coat hanger is by Vitra

The coat hanger is Vitra (see above). The wonderful Plopp stool is from Hay, get one from Rum21

The shelving unit is from Montana and the wood lamp is from Muuto

Wood lamp from Muuto as above.

The Grand Prix chairs and dining table are Arne Jacobson. Try Danish Design Store.

Soaking up a converted Gotland brewery house

Hi and Happy Monday!  I loved the 'cosy' picture from Friday so much that I felt it would be rude not to show the entire house. So here you are, a beautifully renovated 1862 brewery house on Gotland, an island on Sweden's East coast featured in Sköna Hem

Is that a vintage Tolix stool I see hiding in the corner? Find reproduction vintaged Tolix at Rockett St George. Nice way to store your mago's.  I love the contrasting colours on the wood panelling.

The polish concrete floor looks fabulous and actually quite warm! For Tolix bar stools like these see previous.

Watch out - don't sit on the poor dinosaur! Check out Dinosaur Time for models like these to add a bit of GRRRR to your bathroom.

And didn't I promise for some colour's that pop and fizz this week too?  The hottest colour that everyone's blogging about right now is BLUE. So in case you fancy singing the blues this Monday, perhaps these lovely pictures will inspire you...

Norwegian wood

BRRRRR, it's positively freezing in Southern Sweden today! To lighten the mood this Norwegian homeowner has opted for a completely white theme for the warm wood panelled walls and floor. What a beautiful home, crammed full of vintage finds. Thank you Your Life for sharing!

In a bit of a rush this morning but I'll pop by later to outline where you can find a few of these lovely things. All the posts this week have been about whites with touches of black and sombre hues. So next week it's definitelty time for colour's that fizz and pop and brighten up the day....

Vintage inspired office spaces

Imagine these office spaces on a daily basis? (oooo that rhymes - I'm a poet and I just don't know it :). Swap flourescent strip lights and withering plants with vintage pendent lamps and beautiful things to look at all day.

Picture: Stylizimo.
What a collection of wonderful vintage things! Source similar at flea markets in your area, or try online at The Old Cinema. You can find shabby chic garden chairs at Petersham Nursery, London or Green Square in Copenhagen.

Picture: found on Lotta Agaton blog. Photographer: Bjarni B Jacobsen.

The pic above and the following two are taken from Oliver Gustav's home shown on Lotta Agaton's lovely design blog. Oliver Gustav lives above his eponymous shop in Copenhagen. His apartment / home office is very rough and ready with a tremendous mix of old and new and certainly beats an open plan office or what?!

I have seen this fantastic large numbered calendar in the design shop at Lousiana, Denmark, does anyone know the name of it? I would love one in my home office, it would be hard to forget the date!

Buy vintage pendent lamps at Lauritz. Source a wired basket from Granit. Buy an orange Wesco bin like this one from Amazon.

And finally,  I love this light and airy office space shown on the Adore Vintage blog.

Roll on Monday morning!
