The beautiful home of a Danish designer

This is another of those homes which stops me in my tracks. It's the fantastic apartment of Danish designer Michala Wiesneck who was raised in a free-spirited, artistic family and travelled the world with her parents from an early age. Michala's childhood is clearly reflected in her relaxed, eclectic home and the clothes she designs. I love the mix of antiques and flee market finds as well as the way she has combined furniture and accessories from different cultures. This is exactly my kind of style. Beautiful.

What do you think of this relaxed, bohemian style? Any part of the home you particularly love?

I love the current trend of adding a touch of ehtnicity whether through textiles or furniture, it's making me want to visit Marrakesh and wander the souks. Until then I'll get my fix at shops like Moroccan Bazaar. I've got my eye on this candle lantern, the nude moroccan pouffe and a white tagine for entertaining, oh and I wouldn't mind this kilim rug too! Have you been or planning to go to Morocco?

An office in the nude

Who said Monday mornings back at work had to be painful?! I love the nude, black and white colour scheme paired with the slightly masculine styling of this office space by Norske Interiör Bloggers (NIB) for Studio Magazine, Norway. If I worked here I'd be one very happy Monday morning person indeed, what about you?!

The office was styled with pieces borrowed from fab Norwegian shops  VERKET INTERIØRZANZHVIIT and BOLINAYou can pick up a Vitra Panton Chair in white here (15% discount with the code MYSCAN).

Any pieces you liked in particular? I think the oversized pencil sharpener is pretty cool!

I hope you all had a fab weekend. Happy Monday to you all, here's to an office full if nudes!

A Swedish Home with a Touch of Blush

Blush is such a pretty colour and so on trend right now, but the chances are you're not going to want it on every wall in your home (although I'm sure done in the right way it could look pretty cool?!).  That's why I love how the owners of this small space in Gothenburg (currently for sale through Alvhem) compliment the blush in the bedroom with soft beige, green and deeper earthy pinks in the sitting room. Definitely a palette to remember!

So pretty don't you think?

I love the combination of the golden brown throw (similar here), white linen bedding and blush walls in particular.

Incidentally - I painted my daughter's bedroom in a similar colour to the one seen. A word of warning, the right colour totally depends on the light in the room. Some looked like a lovely nude in the paint shop and then lilac on the wall (eeeek!), so it's best to check out a few before you commit! Maybe you have a fail safe tone you can recommend?

Feeling inspired?! This pink trend post might give you some other ideas of ways to incorporate pink into your home (from more subtle hints to entire rooms in different shades!).

Have a lovely evening!

PS Don't miss tomorrow's tour of an artist's cabin - I'm so excited about it!
