The beautiful, bold home of a Swedish graphic designer

Hello! I do believe it's the end of the week - woop! Any fun plans for the weekend? We're going to take it easy, but I confess I'll need to do just a little work as the deadline for my next book (about the Swedish philosophy of lagom) is looming...! Eeeek! Before I continue to tap away I'd like to take a moment to revel in the beauty of this Swedish home with you! The dark blue, light blue, grey and green accents, the vintage furniture, the botanical touches - the details - everything! The home of graphic designer Cecilia Hedin is perfect inspiration for anyone looking to channel the dark, bold trend sweeping the interior world right now, or simply looking for a way to update your home with small details (and even display your wifi code!). Step this way...

I love the desk area in particular. And the wallpaper in the hallway, would you dare?!

It's also amazing what a difference traditional baker lights and switches can make to a space too.

Is there anything you love about this space?

Get the look: office - this green filing cabinet is similar. Pick up a vintage wood and metal office chair here. Kitchen - Ant chairs, sheepskin throwHallway - this monstera / cheese plant wallpaper is similar.

If you have a moment, you can check out home-owner Cecilia Hedin's wonderful creative work here.

And for more home inspiration, take a peek at a load more spaces with beautiful blue here.

Have a wonderful weekend and see you Monday!

PS Take a peek inside Marianne's magical Norwegian mountain cabin captured for The Scandinavian Home (I also had the pleasure of staying there for a few days in January and it was just as magical in the snow!). So cosy!

A Swedish home with blue and mustard accents

Hejsan! As promised, I did actually accost my man as soon as he arrived home yesterday to show him the house that had come on the market (the subject of yesterday's post). He agreed that it was indeed perfection - although I don't think we're quite ready to our leave our home by the sea just yet! Guh! And I was already sipping cocktails by that plunge pool too! Onwards and upwards. Today's post brings with it new inspiration in the form of a lovely home in Gothenburg. The apartment occupies part of a house built in the 1930's and has been beautifully styled with mid-century and contemporary pieces, lots of lovely greenery and blue, cognac and mustard accents. Enjoy!

Such a lovely space don't you think? Love the touch of blue and mustard in particular - and the foliage over the bed!

How about you?

Get the look: sitting room - source a similar vintage mid-century arm chair here, this is a good place to pick up a small beni ourain rug. I love this blue armchair. Dining room - Series 7 chairs. Bedroom - pick up stonewashed grey linen bedding here and a mustard throw here.

Have a lovely day!

PS Thank you for your patience during the blog design update - I know there have been a few disturbances but I think we're almost there. Do give me a shout in the comment section below if you see anything strange - your feedback would be so helpful!
