A stunning Swedish space in white

Hello. How are you today? I'm so happy, not only is it Friday (woooop!) but I also had a visit from my friend Maria - AKA the 'Swedish Ninja' yesterday and we had such a fun day (I can't wait to share the results of our photo shoot with you next week). In the meantime, I thought you'd like to take a tour of this beautiful space in Gothenburg. Apart from the stunning architecture, there are quite a few things which I wouldn't mind in my own home - such as the sheer white curtains which add a lovely softness to the space, the white modular sofa arrangement, the built in book shelves and of course that beautiful 'Kakelugn' (masonry oven)! Is there anything that stands out to you?

Oj oj vad fin! (as they say in Sweden). What an incredible space, don't you think?!

Think that one of us could actually own it?! Perhaps a move to Gothenburg's in order?! Race you!

A few items I know and love in this Swedish apartment: sitting room - Mobil light by Monika Mulder, Hay 'woody' shelves, Beni Ourain rug. Dining area - the fabulous Vertigo suspension light. bedroom - white linen bedding, linen throw / bed cover (love these!). Reading corner - Gervasoni armchair, Hay tray table. Many of the prints can be found at The Poster Club.

Before we all shoot off to enjoy the weekend, I wanted to tell you about a mail I received yesterday about the fabulous Ragamuf 'stretchy chair rugs'. Conceived by a Finnish woman looking to support the most vulnerable Syrian female refugees in Turkey, the designs amazing (I'd so love one of these!) and the crowd funding campaign has reached 63% of it's goal - how exciting! Read more about the campaign and watch the video here.

Have a wonderful weekend and see you Monday!

PS It was a real pleasure to be interviewed by American blog 'beauty and well being' this week. The piece is now live here if you'd like to take a peek.

The beautiful bedroom of an interior designer!

Last Sunday I headed over to my friend Genevieve Jorn's apartment in the centre of town. Interior designer Gen, Danish husband Kasper and little daughter Olivia have the most beautiful flat. You may have noticed that I've been photographing it room by room, detail by detail over the past few months (don't miss her office and kitchen!) and today I'm excited to share a tour of their wonderful master bedroom. The spacious room has magnificent bones - with high ceilings, angled walls, period features and an original parquet floor dating back to the early twentieth century. Grey walls serve as a calm backdrop for a blend of furniture - including a beautiful bench, clothes rack and dresser from Danish homeware store Nordal. Could you imagine a duvet day here?!

So lovely don't you think?! I love the layers of texture, it makes the room so warm and inviting!

Get the look from Gen's lovely bedroom:

Give me a shout if you're wondering about anything else in the comment section below and I'll do my best to help!

Have a lovely day!
