I noticed they really are super sticky, super long lasting, can stick on almost anything and are super restickable too (that's a lot of 'supers'!). The only thing is my girls love them too, so they're disappearing at a rapid rate....another box please?

The fab Danish home and studio of a photogapher

Today I thought we'd step inside the fascinating Copenhagen home and studio of Danish photographer Ditte Isager, which she shares with her husband Christian, and little son, Wilder. The space has unexpected looks around every corner - including a cosy sitting room with dark green walls, a calm dining room in muted tones and a modern work studio made entirely from wood (connected to the house via a repurposed staircase).  The home has been decorated with a wonderful mix of Danish classics, vintage finds and items collected on travels.  Let's take a tour!

Although the entire space is pretty fabulous the studio really stands out to me. I love that they've successfully combined it with a guest house / place for the kids to hang out. Is there anything that stands out to you?

Get the look: Sitting room - F&B paint, Arne Jacobsen chair. Kitchen: the cabinets are bespoke - try IKEA's MÄRSTA for similar. This vintage industrial kitchen island is similar (and lovely!). Dining room: Ochre chandelier. Bathroom: Gubi table lamp. Studio: made using Dinesen douglas pine, series 7 swivel chair, source a vintage industrial stool here.

The fabulous studio of an interior designer

Are you back at work this week? Or perhaps you've been working right the way through Christmas (guh!)? Either way, how often do you look around and think - this place seriously needs a make-over?! Today, I'm taking work space inspiration (and in fact, kitchen, dining and sitting room inspiration) from the design studio of Christien Starkenburg - the driving force behind Dutch interior design consultancy firm Interieur + and handmade furniture company SlowWood. Christien follows the philosophy "an interior is the natural projection of the soul'' - Coco Chanel, aspiring to design spaces for her clients using head, heart and a heavy dose of handmade - a philosophy which is projected in her (fab) personal studio too. Let's take a peek inside and prepare to feel inspired....

Could you work here? I most definitely could!

Looking at this studio takes me back to my days in the corporate world where I used to sit in a giant  open-plan office by a window (on luckier days) overlooking a car park and a motorway - it was my wonderful colleagues which kept me going! Today I'm master of my own work space (which also features on the front cover of this book!) and it makes such a difference to my working day. Is your office environment important to you?

Workspace inspiration: the Everlane studio

Good morning Monday! If like me you're back at your desk today you might be looking around and thinking - not this place again?! In which case I've just the inspiration for you. This is the Everlane studio in San Francisco. For those of you not familiar with Everlane - they sell absolutely fab basics and sell them without middlemen and stores - with the philosophy 'Know your factories. Know your costs. Always ask why' (love that). Needless to say, there studio is equally great - set in an industrial warehouse building with polished floors, shades of grey and warm wood, the look is simple, clean and fresh. Perfect inspiration for the start of the working week?!

Oh to work in a studio like this!

A tip on large plants for your space passed onto me by an interior designer recently....check out your local online secondhand stores to source large indoor plants. 

If you'd like to see a little more work space inspiration it's well worth checking out my 'studio' archive (don't miss the Danish carpenter's workshop and the creative studio of Katrin Bååth - firm favourites of mine!).....and loads more work space (including fab home offices, collectives and ateliers) here. You don't even have to feel bad spending time over it as it's all in the name of work, right?!

Even if there is nothing that can be changed about your workspace - I see from the Everlane website they're shipping international until 22nd November (usually they only ship to the US and Canada) - so there's a way to cheer ourselves up anyway!

The studio / home of a Danish carpenter and designer

Happy Wednesday! It's more than likely you're reading this on a coffee break at work, so I thought it'd be apt to offer a little office / studio inspiration - in case you feel like shaking things up a little. It comes in the form of Københavns Møbelsnedkeri a carpenter's studio in Copenhagen owned by former guitar maker and graphic designer Kim Dolva. People are queuing up for Kim's high quality bespoke wooden fittings and furniture and I can totally see why after taking a peek inside his studio and home which he shares with his wife - interior designer, illustrator and ceramicist Mette Bonnavent and daughter Lucille. Could you see yourself working in a space like this?!

Would it actually feel like work here?!

In case you're wondering what that fabulous chair in the last image is  - it's the PP130 Circle chair by my favourite designer Hans Wegner. A true Danish classic. 

More incredible studios to inspire a new work space include the creative Swedish space of Katrin Bååth, the Brooklyn home and studio of a creative couple and the industrial style atelier of a Swedish illustrator.

Or if you feel like jumping ship completely I spotted this beautiful land in the Swedish alps for sale - it lies in the mountainous countryside just outside Åre, one of Sweden's largest ski resorts. Could you imagine spending your winters here - what a lovely life?!

The lovely, light-filled workspace of a blogger and nutritionist

How're you feeling today? If like me, you're in the middle of a looooong working week you might enjoy this inspirational home office in Northern Virginia, USA created by Carlene Thomas and her husband. The space was converted from a second story front porch into a beautiful office for Carlene to write her blog and work as a dietitian nutritionist. Three out of the four walls have french windows and it's a long narrow room which presented quite a challenge when it came to working on the layout. However, the clever use of a mirror and handmade furniture helped to solve the puzzle and the result is a beautiful uncluttered, clean home office. I could work from here today (especially with that little doggy curled up at my feet), how about you?!
