The fabulous Finnish home of a creative duo Part III

How many wonderful new angles can you shoot in one home? When it comes to Helsinki based interior architect and designer Joanna Laajisto and photographer Mikko Ryhänen's home the answer is never enough! This will be my third post (see previous posts here and here) and every time the home tour is equally as inspiring! Here are some snap shots of their kitchen, dining room and sitting room taken by Mikko. Pretty incredible don't you think?!

A few items I see and love: White Thonet 209 chairs in the kitchen,  black and white Marimekko bowls, Bertoia sidechairs and sheepskin throw, Carl Hansen CH25 Lounge Chair, a vintage moroccan rug and last but not least a fabulous Knoll Platner coffee table.

I think my favourite thing from these shots (although it's extremely difficult to pin it down to one thing) is the Knoll Platner coffee table and vintage Moroccan rug combination - they work so well together, don't you think?

I could spend my day recovering with my leg raised here (see yesterday's post!), how about you?!

For more beautiful Finnish home tours don't miss this pared back cabin, Minna's family holiday home in the Finnish archipelagos, and a cosy and warm Finnish table setting.  The Finns really do have a great sense of style don't they?!

Have a lovely day!

Fabulous spaces by Johanna Pilfalk

Today I wanted to share some of the recent work one of my favourite Swedish interior stylists - Johanna Pilfalk. I absolutely love her style (see more of her projects here) and of course how she always works with fabulous spaces. The first three shots are from the same dining space (what a room?!) which featured on the recent front cover of Plaza Interiör. Undeniably delicious and a perfect way to end the week don't you think?!

All interior styling by Johanna Pilfack (shared with kind permission). Pictures 1, 2 and 3: Photography: Sara Landstedt for Plaza Interiör 5. Photography: Sara Landstedt for Aspen Bad

Anything you love in particular about these spaces?

There are just so many pieces in each image. I spy the Thonet 209 chairs (15% discount with
code MYSCAN), Loft Zig Zag floor lamp, Muuto dot hanger, and Tom Dixon etch tea light holder

Interior stylists naturally nearly always have fantastic homes. Some of my favourite home tours include the Stockholm apartment of Sasa Antic and the eclectic Borås home of Johanna Flyckt Gashi. I could move in to either of them tomorrow, how about you?!

I hope you have some great plans for the weekend? It's going to be hot, hot, hot here in Southern Sweden. Actually that's an exaggeration, it's going to be 15 degrees. But hey, I'll be out enjoying it like it's the height of summer!

Have a wonderful weekend and see you Monday!

The beautiful apartment of a Swedish interior designer

Hej du! I'm blogging from further up the coast today in Höganäs (home to Lily & Oscar (remember this beautiful cottage?) and Magasin 36 which I fully intend on visiting!). But before I do I had to share this incredible home with you which is currently for sale. It's owned by Swedish interior designer Elin Kickén (and I've heard Instagram extroadinaire (@elinkicken) and teeming with fabulous pieces. Take a peek....

Elin Kicken, Vastenhem via Husligheter and Stil Inspiration with thanks.
I love her style, how about you?

I spy (where to start?!!) - well you could do well to start at Lotta Agaton's pop-up shop where many of the accessories can be found including the black and white prints, the Hay wall calendar and diamond light bulbs. For other items: Muuto The Dots Coat Hanger, Tom Dixon Copper Shade light and etch tea light (Nest). The Eames DAW, Eames RARThonet 209, Thonet 214, (Design Collectors: 15% discount with code MYSCAN).  Kubus bowl By Lassen. Linen bedding from The Linen Works (I love the Cassis colour). Long-haired sheepskin chair cushions from here. What have I missed?

Feel like looking at a few other monochrome spaces? Try this, this and this one!

Oh and don't forget to enter the give-away if you haven't already :)

Have a lovely day and happy halloween Mwah, ha ha haaaa!

A beautifully designed Malmö apartment

Every now and again a home goes on the market which makes me want to move home (or at least use that as an excuse to go to the viewing!). Currently that home is one designed by interior stylist Emma Persson Lagerberg, in Gamla stan (the old district) of Malmö.

So many cool rooms and pieces - personally I love the bathroom - there's something extremely luxurious about large bathrooms! What about you?

I spy soooo many fab designer pieces: The Louis Poulsen PH5, Tom Dixon Bronze Copper Shade pendent and the Muuto Unfold pendant lights. Vintage Eames side chairs DSW in the kitchen - try Lovely & Company for vintage fibreglass ones or for new plastic ones: Designcollectors where you can also find the Vitra DCM chair in black (15% off with code MYSCAN).

I wonder how the owners can leave this home?
PS Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my 'spring' dining space yesterday, you made my day!

The Stockholm Love Warriors

Love Warriors is the latest design company to be making a splash (or should I say crack in the ice) in Stockholm. Co-founded by The Warriors, Yvonne Arentoft and Per Sandahl, Love Warriors provides interior design services, a web shop (opening soon) and private commissions. The creative duo describe themselves as 'treasure hunters traveling the world to find unique items and hidden gems in corners of the forgotten world'. I want their job. (and their talent!).

Love Warriors

It would be a good idea to follow their blog just to keep an eye on when this shop will be opening?! What do you reckon?

Ha så bra!
