Friday's home tour calls for somewhere that you'd want to pull up a chair and hang out for a while, don't you think? Warm, inviting and relaxed, I think Lisa's Berlin home fits the bill perfectly!
Located in an altbau (early 20th century) building the 160 m2 living space has the most wonderful bones (think high ceilings, chequered tiles, beautiful stucco) - but it's the way that Lisa has decorated it that gives it that personal touch. The interior is a blend of Scandinavian design pieces, playful textiles and lovely lamps. A fan of plants and flowers, greenery is never far away despite the urban location.
Ready for some Friday feels?
Secret to chasing the winter blues away? Hang a hammock in the window beside palms so you can relax in the sun and pretend you're somewhere tropical!
If you look closely at Lisa's home, you'll notice lots of playful details, like this curly cushion!
The apartment is full of the most beautiful light thanks to the large windows and balcony doors. Golden touches seen in the yellow walls and chest-of-drawers help to accentuate the warm feel.
Colourful rugs add a vibrant touch and look like art for the floor!
Oh, how I'd love a walk-in-wardrobe like this, how about you?
Lisa's apartment has really got me in the mood for the weekend, are you feeling it too?
Are there any details that caught your eye? Would you consider having a hammock in your home?
So many questions today!
While you ponder your answers, you can see more of this charming Berlin home over at @casa__lottii.
The German city is known for its creativity and somewhere I love to visit every now and again (it's only around 6 hours drive from Malmö). Here are some other homes I've featured in the past:
My dear friend Igor's beautiful Berlin home
A light-filled family home with a Nordic touch
An edgy Berlin home full of contrast
Right friends, it's time for me to wrap up here. Thank you so much for stopping by this week, I've loved reading all your comments and happy to hear you have enjoyed the tours!
Kram!
Niki

Practical, no-fuss and with taste. I could be in Antigua or Bermuda. Especially the bedroom. Admire the old floors and lighting fixtures. Yes, that walk-in closet is perfect, the way it should be. I guess there is a mirror somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI woke up thinking about this cabin (https://www.myscandinavianhome.com/2024/06/this-magazine-ready-cabin-on-swedish.html) Wonder why.
Its a three-day weekend here, special:) Still haven't figured out where we are going, there's a huge discussion/argument over that. Will work it out somehow. Thank you, Niki! kram. trevligt helg.
I love your description and the items you pulled out specifically. The little house on wheels was probably one of the most special I have featured for so many reasons. I wonder what it was that made you dream about it?
DeleteWe moved my youngest into her college dorm yesterday, which went well, but I was needing a mental vacation today. This apartment fits the bill. Such a warm and cheerful space. I'm not coordinated enough to get into and out of a hammock gracefully, but it looks fun. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, best of luck to your daughter. Is her college far away? Either away it must have been a day of mixed emotions. PS I once slept in a hammock in Mexico, possibly one of the worst night sleep I've ever had!!!
DeleteI'm baffled by people who sleep all nights in hammocks. There was a woman who did that in the campsite next to us during our summer vacation. More power to her, but I don't think I'd be able to move the next day!
DeleteThe college is 40 minutes away, so not far. My son, on the other hand, is a 5 hour drive away, so while it's doable for a weekend trip, it's something we only do once a semester.
Love the hammock! It’s a three day weekend here in the States. Our family will be relaxing at our farm and fishing in the pond. : > )
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect weekend to me!
DeleteI love the hammock and the colorful bedroom rug! Very charming!
ReplyDeleteThe hammock is so fun! - as is the rug :)
DeleteSuch beautiful light in every space. The image where she is pouring tea, the kitchen almost seems to glow. Great, cozy ambiance and all the greenery lends such natural accents.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you picked out that specific image - I felt it had so much warmth and life to it that i had to include it!
