What a year it's been here on My Scandinavian Home. Despite blogging for over 11 years (I started MSH in 2011, can you believe that?) I've enjoyed blogging this year more than ever. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your inciteful comments which I really enjoy reading - and also for helping to sprinkle a little Scandinavian home love around! I'm so grateful to be a part of this community. As per tradition, I've been looking through the archives to find your most loved homes from 2022. Here's a round-up of the top ten:
9. An abandoned property becomes a beautiful Swedish country home
And now ladies and gentleman, please be upstanding for the most read post of 2022.... drum roll please!
What a great, varied collection of tours! I also loved that the small pools post was in there - perfect inspiration for our tiny cabin!
Did you have a favourite? Or perhaps there's a home which you loved that didn't make the list, if so, do share the link below.

The holidays are just around the corner, do you have anything planned? I'm so looking forward to just hanging out in my PJs with my family - that's all I really want for Christmas!
See you Friday with a final post of the year friends.
Kram!

Hi Niki, I'm curious to know... What made this year so particularly enjoyable to blog "more than ever"? Thank you for your contribution to my interiors fascination. Enjoy Christmas time...
ReplyDeleteFor a couple of years I felt blogs were not going to survive - partly due to instagram, and I was worried because I've always so enjoyed writing My Scandinavian Home way more than I have publishing on any social media. But this year I have felt My Scandinavian Home has really flourished, and I've loved everyone's comments, messages and mails, coming here always feels like I am part of such a positive community of likeminded people. I hope you have felt that too. Thank you for being a part of it! Merry Christmas! / Niki
DeleteMy absolute favourite is @oliverogard Marie and Eric's home. I love everything about it and am inspired by the images. Thank you, Niki, for continuing to provide this little haven on the internet for us. I'm hoping for a few quiet hours over the Christmas break and have a few movies saved to watch!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, that is such a beautiful home! I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing time over Christmas. / Niki
Deletefrom the french woman : still no instagram account or other lack of support to help me write. Maybe it will be this year ? If it prevents me from answering you and commenting more often, it doesn't prevent me from looking with deligt all your magnificent publications !
ReplyDeleteSo, about your choice of the 10 best publications for the year 2022, my ex aequo are :
- pretty diy chrismas decorating ...
- a dated property is restored ....
I like the colors, the objects presented and the general atmosphere that reigns there.
My current house looks like a twin (except my blue/gray front door), at the house in the bottom of the first photo "a dated property ..."
Thank you for all these inspirations that you prenset and that i look forward to each time !
Have a merry christmas with yours !
I'm so happy you enjoyed these posts too! I love the sound of your home! Thank you so much for your kind words and for your comments and mails throughout 2022, and when you haven't been able to comment (sorry about that, it's something I need to work on for 2023!), I still know you are here enjoying the homes! Wishing you a wonderful, relaxing time over Christmas. / Niki
DeleteThank you for all your 2022 posts, Niki, and please know that every single one of them was enjoyed and appreciated. Sometimes I am able to get my MSH fix every day, sometimes I am too busy and then I catch up on a Saturday morning with a big pot of coffee (I have decided to browse every house tour in this post on the weekend or maybe on Friday afternoon - we expect a really bad weather which will likely span over the entire Christmas as well as into the next week).
ReplyDeleteBest wishes of a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you so much Alena, you are so kind.I have appreciated all your wonderful comments SO much, I can't tell you how much they mean to me. I hope the weather gods are wrong and you are blessed with at least a little sunshine one rate holidays. A very merry Christmas to you and your family. / Niki

DeleteI look forward to your posts. They are a quiet breath of fresh air. I especially love the beautifully restored older properties, but I also enjoy variety, and you do that so well. I appreciate everyone who lets us have a peek into their homes, including you, Niki. Enjoy your holidays. We will travel next week--good thing we won't be leaving this weekend, as blizzard warnings have been posted. Brrr.

DeleteSuch beautiful photos, but I had to look closely at the first one.... I thought someone hadn't quite made it to the door and was laying on the step covered in snow! Hand sticking out and everything! Probably just me :/
