A carefully laid out cosy Swedish apartment

It's pouring with rain in Southern Sweden today but it hasn't been like this for so long there's something strangely comforting about it! Do you find this sometimes? Today's home tour is of a fairly small (I have to be careful here, I've been told before how spoilt we are in S.Sweden!) two room Swedish apartment. I love the way the stylist has created different areas within each room so that it not only looks lovely but is practical too.

Alvhem

I love how they have squeezed in a cool home office area in the corner of the bedroom which is flooded with natural light. A perfect pad to wile away a rainy day don't you think?!

Anything you love in particular about this home?

Next weekend I'm attending The Hive European Blog Conference over the bridge in Copenhagen, Denmark. I'm so excited as it will actually be my first ever blog conference! Plus it gives me a great excuse to nip over to one of my favourite design cities (I hope I don't get distracted on my way to the venue....!). Will you be attending?

Have a lovely day and I hope the sun's shining for you (or you're enjoying the rain!).

    1. Yes, I think I would too - especially in the bedroom - having said that it looks quite calm as it is :)

  2. I absolutely adore the place and it reminds me of my own...and with that comes the still unsolved question - storage space! How to plan good and comfortable storage space in a small flat? Big fan of 'my scandinavian home' :)

    1. It's so tricky! I know. Actually, if you click on the Alvhem link under the last image you can see more pics of the home and they have filled up one side of the bedroom with built in floor to ceiling cupboards - which is a good start!! Thank you for your lovely words about my blog :)

  3. I really like the brightness of this flat in combination with the contrasting wooden details and dashes of colour, it looks like a warm and welcoming home. A lot of flats/ houses that are being photographed for interior magazines or blogs are way too overstyled and clean(ed) for my taste. This place is very refreshing to see though, it creates a serene and cozy atmosphere, very inspiring.

I was at the Hive blog conference in Berlin both in 2012 and in 2013, but my schedule is way too tight this year - even though it would have been much closer with the conference being on the other side of the Öresund bridge (I too live in Skåne). I am sure you guys will have plenty of fun, I am looking forward to all the after-Hive blog posts. Enjoy the next weekend!

  5. This is a beautiful home! I love the soft colours. I especially like the contrast of the dining chairs against the reddish wood. A very cute flat!

  6. Just out of imagination. I love to buy a home of this kind. Though it not seems easy, availing services of Merritt Island Home Inspection could be the right decision one could take.
