Light wood, white walls and a touch of vintage

Hello! Thank you for your lovely comments yesterday on my bedroom. It's always nerve racking to post pics of my own home so I'm really grateful for your positive feedback and helpful tips :) Today's home comes from the Swedish estate agent Alvhem. My favourite features (apart from the beautiful Scandinavian blond wood and white walls of course) is the mix of modern and vintage furniture and the incredible statement wallpaper!

Alvhem
Are you a wallpaper person?

PS I love that they have thrown in a dark green chair into the mix of white chairs around the dining table. perhaps I should do this with my dining room? For the mix I see they've used an Eames DSR chair (15% off with code MYSCAN), the URBAN chair from IKEA and then flea market finds. Quite simple to achieve yet it looks so great no?

Have a lovely day!

  7. Sorry, i don't know how to display my name! it's Leanne by the way....
Obviously I love the light wood, and all that amazing white... but i'm just about to move into a new flat, and this one has dark wood floors... if possible can you share some photos of homes with dark floors that can achieve the gorgeous scandinavian look...? would be soooo very much appreciated!

  8. oh my, that wallpaper has me wanting to paste it all over my house! after removing layers + layers of wallpaper over the years, i have sworn off it for good; however, i just may be persuaded to make an exception for this lovely creation. and the mix of modern + vintage - well, one can never go wrong with that combination. love!!!

  10. The roses on the wall are just beautiful. The overall design is excellent and I like that you have a large kitchen and a living room. Also the plants are nice and they make the atmosphere more welcoming.

  13. Hi!
I am a new visitor and within the past 10 days I have not been able to pull myself away from your posts! We are renovating a little barn house now and I've been searching for inspiration now that I'm getting to the interior furnishings. It was always the plan to have a modern "scandi" country vibe and I'm so glad I found you :). This post in particular is very close to my original vision-thank you for sharing. I'm a new huge fan! My husband Tom is of swedish descent and has extended family in Sweden, we long to visit one day soon.
