This is the uber cool monochrome home of Maiju the blogger behind A Plateful of Love and her family in Helsinki, Finland. The apartment looks incredibly calm and relaxed, and of course there's no denying how cute the smiley baby peeping out of the cot is!

As you know, I'm a big fan of monochrome. It's not easy to get the balance right and Maiju has nailed it with a lovely warm feel.

What's your take on monochrome?

    I love this home, Maiju has most definitely got the balance right, it looks very relaxed and full of character. I especially love the kitchen!

    I can look cold, but this place certainly doesn't. I think the grays and patterns help.

    Oh I love monochrome! And this home is one of those "warm" monochrome spaces I really adore! Kitchen and the big dining table are my favs.

      I am not sure unfortunately - perhaps someone else can help or you could try writing to Maiju?....or fun DIY project perhaps if you're feeling crafty?
