Since I'm heading home to Malmö this evening it's only fair that I show a beautiful apartment from Sweden's Southern most city. This extremely cool black and white apartment is on a square in the centre of town. As you know, I'm a huge advocate of monochrome. I also love the touches of pattern - including the spots and stripes.

Right folks, it's the weekend - yay! Any great plans? Oh and happy thanksgiving to all our friends in the US!
PS Just before I fly off, I just wanted to mention how wonderful it is to see all the comments you leave, I get really excited everytime a new one comes in and it makes blogging so much rewarding and interesting. Thank you!
Monochrome rocks! I love seeing colour-filled apartments but monochrome is right up my alley (although a pop of fuchsia never hurts ;). This place is jättefint! :D x
ReplyDeleteI do love black and white, but also like to add a pop of colour or two, mainly red. I agree, this home is very cool.
ReplyDeleteI think we will be getting into some Christmas craft this weekend. The countdown has really begun! xo
Thanks for the credit <3
ReplyDeleteI love black and white's also but i need a color here and there... :)

ReplyDeleteBlack&white rocks! especially if you add natural wood, the green of plants and eventually, a touch of colour...

Oh, I'm a monochrome girl at heart. That black reading nook with that cosy white chair? I'd move in in a flash! I love how cosy the whole house looks, nice and small without feeling cramped. Love all the white floors and all the delicate touches of pattern, especially that polka dot throw. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity, it's all very striking. Some lovely pieces, the cushions and throws in particular. But I can't help feel that on a dull, grey day it all might feel a little cold and stark...? For me it needs a little warming up in areas. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish for a black and white house but somehow I am not sure I could live without color! Safe flight and happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI do love black, white and wood. But I really love some touches of colours. Not to much, just touches. Have a great weekend!

I love, love, love monochrome! I actually think of it as a 'colour' because so many people feel worried about bringing black into their homes because it's such a strong hue, so I admire those that don't shy away from using it! Love this space, esp. that touch of luxe with the copper floor lamp! x
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog - all the places you show here are cosy and beautiful. I'm a huge fan of Scandinavian design so it's a real pleasure to look at your pictures. Thank you for inspirations!

Monochrome really appeals to me, but still our home always end up in colour. Not very brights but still colourful. So I guess I like both :)

I LOVE monochrome! Just a few branches of eucalyptus like here or one coloured pillow is enough!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home.
XOXO Miranda
Lovely place, love the dark library!
ReplyDeleteI prefer a mix of both, not tooooo colorful (clownlike haha), and not tooooo monochrome (zzzzz).
ReplyDeleteThis space is incredibly well made. The designs and color combinations are perfectly working together. Personally, when I do blacks and whites, I also love adding some pops of one or two colors like red, yellow, blue or anything that will give it some spice.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty !
