I was just about to enjoy a cup of tea in the garden when the IKEA Family Live magazine plopped through the door. It couldn't have been better timing! There's always a few gems in there and this beautiful white home in Tuscany is a fine example. I spy many IKEA staples such as the Urban chair, and check out the paper display over the dining table - possible DIY project for the weekend?

I also love the IKEA blog Livet Hemma - the only trouble is it always makes me want to hot foot it down to IKEA to buy the latest PS collection range.
What do you think - do you have the restraint for an all white home?
Another sunny day here in Sweden! I could get used to this :)
In my dreams I could live in an all white house, in reality I know it could never happen.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunshine.
Same here....I would add one little splash of colour....then another...
DeleteAll white homes really catch my eye whenever I see one .. My favorite is the big old-looking cupboard in the kitchen - you can store so much stuff in it and it gives a nice touch of coziness to this modern space!
ReplyDeleteI love the cupboard too - it's so charming! Perfect storage.
DeleteHi Niki from sunny Dublin.
ReplyDeleteI love an all white home. My own home is all white apart from the light wood flooring. I have a 2 year old son so I have to keep on top of the fingerprints on the walls! I think the all white home can be as practical as any other style, as long as you can accept it will need to be painted every couple of years...love the blog!
Hi Nick - I'm so impressed with your all-white crusade esp with a 2 year old! I know what you mean, I have a 3 and a 1 year old and I'm forever wiping smudge marks off the wall. Just popped by your blog, it's great! love the staircase in today's post.
DeleteHi Nikki,
ReplyDeleteWhite is my aim after refurbishing my house. It just make you feel light, clean and airy, simply beautiful and leaves lovely blank canvas for accessories and all the crazy ideas you might have, so its definitely yes from me.
PS range from IKEA is probably the best range of product you can get in this fantastic place. I love PS bench (got one) and plywood chest of little drawers with rope handles (always wanted one!) IKEA products are great as the are and even better with a bit of hack! Love all the shots you showed here.
PS. Thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comment. Ill be visiting you more often as you are amazing source of inspiration.
PS 2. So jealous you can live in Sweden :)
Hello! I can't wait to see the outcome from your renovation, will be following the progress on your blog!Exciting!
DeleteI love all white but I think you use the perfect word "restraint" (and no, I don't have enough of it I think). I really like the ballet shoes as part of a headboard composition.
ReplyDeletehi, this is a clear example of how stylishly and elegantly you can decorate your house with Ikea furniture. Great! I love this house, but I am not sure whether I would be able to live in it.

I think I'll move right into that 4th room, thanks. It even has an "E" on the window sill for me! It was meant to be :)
