Their signature style is unmistakable — richly patinated walls, brass fittings, and incredible cabinetry that always steals my heart. As keen foodies, the kitchen is always at the centre of their projects, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Made from Frama CPH and Kv盲num units, it has that old-world feel with a modern twist. I’m especially smitten with the glass-fronted pantry — how beautiful (and handy) is that?
The open-plan space also features two striking green Italian sofas by Tachinni which rest on a textured Cappelen dimyr rug, a light-filled dining area, and a bathroom with a very cool wooden bathtub from Michor (how I'd love to put this to the test!). And there’s even a balcony where you can soak up the summer sun.
It certainly has me dreaming of a weekend away in this holiday home: flitting about, relaxing, and using it as a base to explore the surrounding area (I hear there’s a lake nearby that’s perfect for swimming!) - maybe a day in Berlin (such a fantastic city, have you been?).

ReplyDeleteThe cabinetry is stunning and the modern Frama works so well with the older storage units in the pantry. There are a lot of features to admire, among them the the glowing, golden light in the bathroom.

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, the only thing I dislike are the unpainted walls, which to me look dirty and dreary rather than artsy. I think one unpainted wall per room would have done it.
ReplyDeleteI am taken with the effect of the chic and polished features, blended with the warmth and old-worldness. How nice it would be to experience it in person! The wooden tub is striking, but I am wondering how it withstands water exposure over time. I thought maybe it was going to be lined on the interior, but I couldn’t quite tell if that was the case. I loved the photography, capturing smoke from the incense and steam from the kettle! I’d love to visit Berlin. I was there a long while ago at age thirty and I think I would enjoy it even more now!
ReplyDeleteThe apartment has a lot of charm and personality, and with a few tweaks it could really shine. The unfinished wall look could be a great focal point if used just on one feature wall, letting the other walls stay light and airy. A softer, more inviting sofa and a bit of decluttering could open up the space. Leaning into a Scandinavian-inspired style — clean lines, natural light, and simple accents — might make the whole place feel even more welcoming.

There are many charming details, but the moldy and mildewed walls and ceiling, especially around food preparation areas, are off-putting.
