Hej heeeej and happy Friday! Any great plans for the weekend? If you're house hunting, perhaps this lovely place in Södermalm, Stockholm could be worth a visit. I love the way they have made maximum use of the 73 m square. Naturally, I love the all white look with fantastic splashes of colour. But I also love the way the owner has created different spaces within one room, such as a work space all along one side of the room, a reading corner, and a day bed by the 'kakelugn' fire.

The gold frames are stunning - especially with the pink. And that ladder....I'm such a fan!
DeleteI love the splashes of yellow and magenta and the wonderful light.......I would love that flat!!
ReplyDeleteMe too Tracey! The yellow tiles are fab - and set off great by a simple jar of lemons. I am *always* sold on magenta too!
DeleteYeahhhh! Beautiful, bright, sunny! The coloured eyecatchers are wonderful in each room! And we have also a wonderful weekend, like that! Same to you! Hugs, Barbara
ReplyDeleteYou too Barbara!
DeleteOh so sunny. The kitchen is my fave with the bright yellow tile and the double doors.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love the old painting ladder in the hall too.
DeleteHi Niki, I just love the white floors. The apartment is really nice.
ReplyDeleteI have also seen in one of your posts earlier pictures of a house where they had pictures on the wall saying 1, 2, 3 for the fifferent levels in the house. Can you remember where you have that, what day you posted? I am thinking of doing something similar here at home. I am this weekend painting the entire kitchen :)
See ya!
Hi Mette! I remember the numbers - they were so cool! I'll take a look through and send you the link. If you get that look in your home I'm inviting myself over just to admire your work!! Good luck with the kitchen -sounds like tiring stuff! - and who me a pic when you're done!
DeleteHi Mette - this the link to the post i did on the huge numbers by the stairs: http://www.myscandinavianhome.blogspot.se/search/label/Typography very cool!
DeleteI love the crown moulding + fireplace - both remind me of the architectural details of the apt hubby and I rental in our Spain vacation last year. Hmmm, I may have to do eye my living room. This may be a GREAT DIY (though my DIYs usually entail me recruiting my husband for his muscles) :) Have a GREAT day Niki!
ReplyDeleteI love the playfullness of the interior design. It has both the traditional minimalistic Scandinavian design features, but combines it with colors and objects that makes it more cosy, personal and interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I am definitely coming back next year to see and be inspired of more Scandinavian design...
This is just so gorgeous!! Every day would be a happy day esp. with all that gorgeous light coming into the apartment. Fabulous blog you have.
ReplyDeleteYour home is just gorgeous - I love the white swing arm lamp, where did you purchase it from?
