Hej hej! Sometimes, when it feels like winter is never going to end the only thing you can do is embrace it. And this is what I would do if I stayed at this chalet dug into the mountain side in Switzerland. Designed by Peter Zumthor of SeARCH and CMA it sleeps 9 and is completely heated by green energy from a local dam. Skiing anyone?!

It really took me a moment to realize what I was looking at. This is such innovative architecture.
ReplyDeleteI know, me too! It really is fantastic architecture isn't it.
DeleteWow! I didn't know this place, just fantastic!!! Thanks for showing! I love it! Hugs, Barbara
ReplyDeleteIt really is isn't it? Sometimes on a winters day you have to dream winter too!
DeleteLove the Wegner papa bear chair in the second photo - so difficult to find (which translates to "so ridiculously expensive if you DO find one).
ReplyDeleteAn amazing bit of architecture and design. Very inspiring...
Hahaha, I absolutely love that chair too, know exactly what you mean. I'm still hoping to find a neglected one in an attic one day along with the 'egg chair' :)

We love those kitchen dining chairs - anybody know the style make, probably out of our reach here is Australia though!! Love it all great blog:)
ReplyDeleteWow! That is just an amazing house. It is modern and yet still very close to nature. I love the concept you used especially in the dining area. It looks beautiful! I would just like to ask if those walls and floors are concrete. Because they just add so much to the overall look of the place. The greyness is just perfect! This is a wonderful share!
