Exciting news! You may recognise one of these beautiful leather items by Danish workshop Ham & Lerche from a gift guide I posted last month (by the way I got the macbook folder! Love it!). Available through NOORVERK - an online store selling beautiful Nordic handmade design, art and crafts directly from a wide range of scandinavian designers -  four of Ham & Lerche's finest leather accessories are now on sale with 30% off until 5th February! If you're after something beautifully made that will also help you feel a little more organised - now's your chance!

In order of appearance: 1. large desk organiser in natural leather (also available in blue and black). 2. Pen holder in black (also available in natural leather and blue). 3. Pencil case in natural (also available in blue and black.  4. Small desk organiser in blue (also available in natural and black).

So beautiful don't you think?

I really love the pencil case (right now we have pens all over the house so I can never find a nice one when I need one and always end up writing with a felt tip! I feel Perhaps this would keep them in check?!).

Have you got your eye on anything in particular?

Oh and while you're over at NOORVERK, you might want to check out the other Scandinavian design items on sale in the Home and Living category too! Just saying!

NOORVERK deliver to Denmark, Germany, Sweden, UK, Holland, Belgium and Luxemburg.

Have a lovely evening!

A beautiful, elegant small space apartment in Stockholm

In Stockholm, Sweden, apartments are known for being a bit of a squash and a squeeze. But when you're as skilled as the Swedes at creating beautiful light-filled homes in a limited space it's never a problem! The key, it seems, is a coherent colour sceheme throughout, an open plan design and fabulous windows as room dividers.  This 45 metres square (484 square feet) in the lovely district of Östermalm has all of this and more! How inspiring?!

Credits: for sale though Bo Sthlm.

The way the bedroom has been incorporated into the space is fantastic! For privacy and to cosy it up a little you could add some curtains to pull across at night.

I absolutely love the grey, cognac and wine colour scheme, it's so elegant!

You might be wondering about clothes storage etc. (I was!) and after a quick look a the floor plan I see it's all in the spacious hallway.  Perfect!

Is there anything in particular you appreciate about this space?

Steal the look from this Stockholm apartment: sitting room - EOS pendant light by VITA Copenhagen, try The Poster Club for similar prints, By Lassen Kubus candleholder. Bedroom - linen bed set

Interestingly, whenever I feature a home in shades of grey I inevitably receive a few comments requesting more colour. What are your thoughts - is this look for you? Do you have a favourite colour in your home? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Have a wonderful day!

PS  I'm on the hunt for homes with pops of colour and pattern to feature this week - submissions welcome!

A lovely laid back flat in Malmö, Sweden

Hello! How was your weekend?! We headed out for a walk and barbecue in the forest on Saturday (one of our favourite ways to wile away a day) and then yesterday I had a photo shoot at my friend Gen's flat (you might recognise her name as I've featured her fab office and kitchen before), it was so much fun! More pics to follow later on in the week. Meanwhile, just round the corner is another cosy apartment which has just gone on the market.  There is something so warm about this space, don't you think? Enjoy!

This apartment is for sale through Bolaget.

I love how relaxed and personal this space feels!

It makes me want to string some lights up and paint a few walls (Farrow & Ball sells similar colours)....and as for that Palm Jungle wallpaper?! Love it!

I also love the vintage kimono- not only does it make a perfect robe, it also adds to the decor too!

Is there anything that stands out to you?

Other items I know and love in this southern Sweden apartment: sitting room / dining area Stockholm sofa in Sandbacka green from IKEA, Eames chairs, string lights, source vintage botanical school posters here (this one from Slovakia is particularly lovely!).   Outdoors - Gotland sheepskin.

Have a wonderful start to the week!

PS Amazingly excited to discover today that Vogue has included me in their list of '10 interior instagrams to follow now' list! It's made my week and it's only just started. Thank you Vogue!

A new find for my home!

I made an exciting discovery this week. I've been planning a new nook in my sitting room and looking for something fab to break up the white walls. My search led me to these beautiful handmade mobiles. Sold through Lappalainen, each mobile is handmade to order in the couple's studio in an old warehouse building in Hanau near Frankfurt, Germany. The designs include brass dot, black brass, copper copper and mobile brass (my favourite) as well as plenty of other versions. What a find?! Oh and they ship worldwide too - perfect!

Picture credits: 1. Aurelie Lecuyer (take a peek inside her wonderful home here).  2 and 3. Saar Manche (who's beautiful home I once featured here) 4. wij zijn kees

I can't wait to receive it in the post!

Could you imagine having one of these in your home?

You can see more inspiration / mobiles in action over on Instagram and in their wonderful Etsy shop.

Happy weekend!

PS this Pinterest board has been my main source of inspiration - I knew all that 'nook' and 'daybed' pinning would come in handy one day!
