Monochrome heaven in a small Swedish apartment

Hello there! How're you holding up? It's been a week of early starts for me, and as you know, I'm definitely not a morning person - so I'm clinging onto the thought that tomorrow's Friday - woop! They say though, that the early bird catches the morning worm - and on my train earlier today I caught sight of not exactly a worm - but this delightful monochrome home in Gothenburg, Sweden. The space is a mere 35 square metres (375 square foot) and yet it has a light and airy feel thanks to the predominantly white colour scheme and unobscured windows (look closely and you can see the tightly rolled blackout blinds). I'm guessing the wardrobe is by the door, sectioned off with a linen curtain. What a perfect pad?!

I really love this space. It's like a breath of fresh air.

Could you live here? (If so you're actually in luck since it's currently for sale here, yup!).

Get the look: Granit string lights (for those of you in the US, these lights are similar (love!). Koushi pendant light, grey linen throw, white linen bedding, set of two linen pillow cases (beautiful) RANARP desk light, Tolix stool, this coffee table is similar, icelandic sheepskin throw, OMAR wire kitchen shelving unit. Buy natural stonewashed linen by the yard for curtains.

In case you missed them, other beeeeautiful monochrome spaces include a fab apartment with a mid-century touch, a black and white Helsinki family home and a calm small space Swedish apartment.

Have a lovely day!

Stunning earthy interiors inspired by nature

I came across this set of earthy, atmospheric interiors packed with antiques and treasured finds in Debi Treloar's portfolio and was delighted to discover they were a selection taken from a book! I can tell you there was one little light on in Malmö last night where a certain blogger was busy pouring over The Natural Home by Swedish stylist Hans Blomquist. Think natural textures such as wood, linen, cotton and seagrass against a backdrop of white, dark brooding colours, exposed brick and concrete. Let's take a peek....

The Natural Home by Hans Blomquist, photography by Debi Treloar. Published by Ryland, Peters & Small.

I'm in interior heaven! I love the creative / artistic element in all these images.

Is this your kind of style?

Get the look: LOHALS rug, linen pillow covers in muted tones, vintage architects chair (*want*!), tin pen / paintbrush pot, try this shop for vintage industrial pendants and this fab wall lamp,  I love this rare vintage desk lamp. vintage haberdashery chest (beautiful!).

Keep an eye out for Debi's latest projects over here on her blog or instagram (love her work!).

A few other links I love today:

Grace Bonney is right - there's something about the sound of pen on paper that makes this calligraphy clip captivating (are you learning yet?).

The plants around this pool.  And this Pilea plant.

Minimal, bohemian kitchen love.

Chilli garlic sweet potato fries. So simple (we're talking three ingredients!), yet so good!

The outdoor space that's stealing my Pinterest board show.

Back tomorrow with a fab home tour! See you then.....
