A lovely minimalist apartment in Berlin

Last Autumn I was lucky enough to visit Berlin for the first time (it's actually only 6 hours drive from Malmö), what a fantastic, vibrant city! If you haven't been I can warmly recommend it. This beautiful apartment is 250 metres from Winterfeldplatz with it's Saturday market and numerous cafes and shops. It's been styled by the talented Sarah of Coco Lapine Design blog for sale. I can't help but love the minimalist way it's been furnished and the little styling touches such as the copper pots on the light wood table and the robot chilling on the edge of a shelf. How about you?

Could that dining table be constructed using the LERBERG trestle legs from IKEA? So simple yet so lovely. I spotted the mint stool (in the corner of the bedroom) in IKEA too the other day, it also comes in a salmon pink (tempted!). I also spy a black and white Marimekko cushion in the sitting room.

I was searching through the black and white label in the archive for other beautiful homes of this genre for you and got lost there for about half an hour! So rather than suggest homes I thought it might be best for you to pop over there if you're up for a little more inspiration today (comes with a time warning sign!). Any favourites?

Have a lovely Thursday!

Pretty white and grey home in Primrose Hill

To follow what's turning into a vintage inspired week, here's a home in Primrose Hill, London, owned and designed by photographer Paul Massey. The space has been designed using an eclectic mix of styles with touches of industrial, vintage,  rustic and french country. Add a touch of white / grey Scandinavian (am I missing a touch?!) and what you get is a beautiful, relaxed, light filled home in London. Could you live here?

You can see more pictures of this home here if you'd like to.

We have a Swedish Gustavian chest of drawers which is currently in the guest bedroom / dressing room, and now perhaps I've found a new home for it.... the kitchen?!

My other two key take-aways - the copper tap in the kitchen (beautiful!) and using a nook as a home office. This is the perfect little place to sit and work! I kind of want to find a nook in my home now!!

What do you think of this style?

Have a lovely Wednesday - half way there already - yay!

A beautiful vintage inspired Australian home

Remember this ethereal bedroom with ensuite I showed last Sunday? Well this morning I was really excited to discover the rest of the home. Vintage House Daylesford is a former 1860's miners cottage which has been lovingly restored to highlight the original features of the space and decorated to perfection with the help of the oh so talented Kali Cavanagh. And the good news? It's available to rent!

The ethereal style is not far off Australia based Kara Rosenlund's home (also featured here) and this lovely vintage inspired guest house, don't you think? If ever there's an excuse to go down under.....

Have a lovely day!

A cosy monochrome space in Stockholm

Hello Monday! Keeping it simple for the start of the week with this lovely Stockholm apartment decorated in monochrome and grey. Could you imagine the coffee pot on the stove steaming away while you enjoy a magazine. Some First Aid Kit playing in the background perhaps?

Fantastic Frank

Stand out factors for me: the black bumling light, the black and white floor and the linen bedding. How about you?!

Other black, white and grey homes I love include this, this and this one. Oh so lovely!

Have a gorgeous day!

PS Don't forget today is the last chance to enter the watch give-away!
