A Swedish lesson in styling

HELLO FRIDAY! We made it! yay! This apartment is a lesson in styling. So very simple yet so very interesting. Colours and key pieces stand out against a backdrop of large white rooms with high ceilings, beautiful original flooring and large windows.

My favourite things: the portrait painting in the hallway and the bright, sunny, yellow eames chair! Yours?

Exciting news: Design Collectors are now stocking Artek (I love their tea trolley and Golden Bell light) and Thonet (get 15% of with code MYSCAN). To celebrate I'll be holding a give-away here on My Scandinavian Home next week.....so keep an eye out!

For those of you who understand Norwegian (or simply like looking at a fab home on film) check out Nina's home from Stylizimo's blog on Norway's TV 8 last week here!

Are you up to anything exciting this weekend? I'm heading to London on Sunday for a few days. It's been ages since I've been there so I am very excited!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! See you on Pinterest / Facebook / Instagram in the meantime!!

Cool restaurant design; Muy Mío

A friend of mine is currently designing a restaurant / bar in London so I'm always looking for inspiration to send him. OK, I admit it, I also love looking at pictures of restaurants / bars and dream of visiting them all one day. Especially when they look like the magnificent Muy Mío in Barcelona. Designed by Intsight, there's so much kitchen / dining inspiration to take away from this space. I love the furniture, lighting, colours, materials and textures. And all the wine of course!

Have you been to Muy Mío

Ray a drop of golden....orange juice

Nothing brightens up an apartment more than pops of bright colours against a white background. And if you don't have anything bright, here's a styling idea....orange juice! Genius!

Notice how I am starting to sneak in a few outdoor spaces into the posts too; if you're in the northern hemisphere and like me, the garden / balcony is becoming an important spring styling area so all inspiration is welcome (check out the use of rag rugs to add warmth to an outdoor space).

Alvhem Makleri

I spy: the ArchitectMade bird and Rosendahl monkey in the office. The fabric on the chair (these bold patterned armchairs seem to be popular at the moment, did you see the one in yesterday's post too?) is from Svenskt Tenn and Eames side chairs (15% off with code MYSCAN from Design Collectors). Find beautiful rag rugs here on Etsy.

Are there any quick and easy tips you can share for an outdoor space?
