A vintage inspired home in Brussels

Hej hooo! Hope you had a lovely Easter. I'm still recovering from the sugar shock but it was wonderful to spend time with my family in the 'Big Smoke!' That's probably why I'm so into Children's rooms today and just had to share the Brussels home of the British designer behind children's clothing brand Cotton and Milk, Justine Glanfield and her husband, French photographer Vincent Fournier. You kind of know that such a creative force would be the perfect recipe for a truly inspiring home...

I love this home because, yes, it's mainly white and of course the great mid-century feel of the dining room but most of all because I have a real penchant for vintage inspired children's rooms (if you follow my 'kids space' board on Pinterest you'd almost certainly have noticed the running theme!).

A vintage inspired photography studio

I'm off to London in a mo to visit family for the Easter holidays - so excited! Hopefully you'll all be shutting down, switching off and scoffing lots of chocolate somewhere too? Small packages in Malmö, Sweden

Notice anything different today?! Something...unusual about my blog? It's exactly 6 months since MSH was born and to celebrate I have been working with the wonderful, super talented, super friendly Ana at Blog Milk on a shiny new blog design. And ta-daaaa! What do you think? 

So back to the interior design. And another local Malmö apartment here in Sweden today. This is pure evidence that the best things come in small packages as the home is a mere 33 m2!! What a clever and pretty use of space!

A quick note to say, these 6 months of blogging have been so much fun and I've learnt absolutely loads (I only wish I had time to make my home as lovely as the ones I've seen). California dreaming - monochrome and pale pink home

It snowed here yesterday. It really did. Suffice to say I nearly cried. This is one of the reasons I transport myself to sunny San Francisco everyday via the fab interior design blog SF Girl By Bay. Honestly, if you don't go there, you should start (I mean the blog, not San Fran, but that would be great too!) A modern. fresh apartment in Malmö, Sweden

Morning and happy errrr Monday! One of the wonderful things about living in Sweden is that you never have to look further than the local estate agents for some really great home inspiration. This fantastic apartment in Malmö, southern Sweden is currently for sale via Bo-laget....

There are so many things I love about what the home-owners have done to this space. From the bright red bumling light over the kitchen table, the pretty coloured cushions on the chairs to the red chairs used as bedside tables and the colour of the hallway set off by the gold Hunter wellies.

The wonderful home of a Danish stylist

It's Friday! Yay! This weekend I'm taking the girls out to the forest to enjoy a little of the Southern Sweden countryside. It's almost customery to take 'korv med bröd' (hotdogs) and bbq them alfresco. Wish me luck with that last bit...! Since I'm cruising towards a very Swedish weekend I thought I'd go all Scandinavian today with this beautiful home of Danish stylist Rikke Graff Juel which I found via the wonderful Scandinavian design blog La Maison d'Anna G.

Boutique 'Glamping' in a vintage inspired caravan

Living here in Sweden I really wanted to show P and our little girls a little about where I come from so a real british seaside holiday is in order! So this summer we're going 'glamping' (glamorous camping) by England's beautiful SouthWest coast. I'm thinking whimsical days in wellies, chintzy tea sets, bunting, vintage caravans, 50's radios and buckets and spades. Can't wait!
