Hur är läget?\u003C\/i\u003E Today I'm taking you on a virtual trip to Trier in Southwest Germany and \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/esma.auguste\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EEsther Soellner's\u003C\/a\u003E wonderful home. When Esther and her family first discovered the1903 listed building it had a distinct look of the 1970s - all the rooms had panelled wood and suspended ceilings. Sadly, the stucco and original floor had been destroyed and it lacked many of the other original features. Esther, an interior architect, was keen to restore the house and bring it back to its former glory. her and her husband set about opening up the rooms and reinstalling original features such as doors and windows. The living space was then furnished furniture from antique markets across Europe including France, Belgium, Netherlands and Italy - as well as handmade pieces. A former\u0026nbsp;archive and artist's studio, the building was about to be torn down when Anabelle\u0026nbsp;Bruny and\u0026nbsp;antique dealer Brice Bérard took the reins. The pair lovingly restored\u0026nbsp;the residence, creating a series of guest houses which have been fully furnished\u0026nbsp;with beautiful secondhand finds. I particularly love Guest House One with its white washedwalls\u0026nbsp;and touches of wood and leather which is\u0026nbsp;available to rent both privately but also as a location for film and photoshoots. After a long couple of days working on the s\u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/www.myscandinavianhome.com\/2019\/06\/summer-cottage-kitchen-renovation_23.html\" target=\"_blank\"\u003Eummer cottage kitchen\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;I spent the evening looking out over the water towards Denmark to see if I could see the bonfires marking the summer solstice (any excuse for a glass of rosé by the sea! ha!). It's hard to imagine that it's going to get a little darker each day from now on - \u003Ci\u003Ewah\u003C\/i\u003E! But there's two things to feel happy about today a) we still have almost 24 hours of daylight and b) I discovered the most inspiring home on instagram yesterday which I \u003Ci\u003Ehad\u003C\/i\u003E to share with you! This beautiful space belongs to \u003Ca href=\"https:\/\/annepeter.net\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003EAnne Peter\u003C\/a\u003E, a graphic designer and food stylist based in Düsseldorf, Germany. Anne and her husband moved in over a year ago and have made their mark by creating the most stunning kitchen (check out the brick wall and beams!), designing their own lights and giving old furniture a whole new lease of life.
