LATEST COMMENTS:

  1. We moved into our blank-canvas house a few months ago and, while the furniture is all in, our walls definitely need some personality. We're hoping to create a picture wall in the lounge next year and one of La Lampe Gras's black wall lights would illuminate it perfectly.

  2. My goal for 2017 is to create a functional workspace, rather than working from the couch/bed all the time! The Design House Stockholm Arco Desk would definitely help me achieve this :)

  3. My wife recently gave birth to our first newborn child last month, and we would absolutely love to redecorate to accommodate for the minimum space we have. The Muuto Walnut Dot Hook set would be perfect to hang all of our baby's diaper bags, towels, and blankets. We also would love to acquire many of Houseology's storage baskets to elegantly hide away diapers, clothes, and baby books. Houseology will help us achieve peace of mind, knowing that cleaning clutter would not interfere with our parent & baby bonding time.

  4. Lots of beautiful inspiration here! I'm determined that 2017 will be the year our living/dining room becomes the grown up space I'very always wanted it to be. We've found the perfect sofa, but the Norr11 mammoth ottoman would be the perfect compliment to it ... my mind is whirring with ideas already!

  7. It's hard to choose just one, but mainly to make better use of our space. Two items that currently plague us are my dresser (which is falling apart and could maybe be solved by the Normann Copenhagen Kabino Dresser With 5 Drawers) and the need for a better sized and more durable desk for my husband. Both the Skagerak Georg Console Table and Tom Dixon Slab Desk look like viable options). Thanks for the contest!

  8. La lampe gras would be nice beginning as i start clearing our office back to an Office! At the moment it's dark and filled with stuff that should be in cellar o just cleared out. S.R.

  9. We are expecting our first child around March this coming year so my design focus would be a few fun things for his room! I'd pick the Vitra Eames Elephant Stool in white, the Wild And Soft Plush Henry The Black Bear Carpet, and Cable & Cotton 20 Ball String Lights in Glow for some soft lighting.

  10. In april 2017 we will move to our brand new big home for grown up people :). I hope we manage to create a warm family home. I would choose the anglepoise wall lamps in elephant grey for our kitchen. They have the perfect vintage feel and the iconic design makes me think of movie nights with the children!

  13. My new year goal is to entertain more and in a grown-up way. The Freud Moka Espresso maker can definitely up my coffee game up a level. I am especially impressed with the LSA deco range in terms of different glassware. I love Houseology separate the entertaining sector to cookware in a different column. It makes shopping so much easier!

This includes a home office/workspace, where two Muuto Wood Lamps would be wonderful! We are on a tight budget, so our goal for the year is to furnish our new space while staying true to our design aesthetic AND staying on budget.

  19. Our dining room table is the table that I grew up eating at. It's dated, 1970's, and while I love the table and all of its history, the chairs really need to be replaced. I adore the Normann Copenhagen Form Chair - Walnut. They'd complement the table nicely.

Last year my boyfriend and I finished a complete reno of our house, dating from the beginning of XX° century; the whole project was ideated by me, but I'm not an architect nor an interior design, so it was very hard work, yet with plenty of satisfaction. Now the only thing we miss is a few good pieces of lighting design: the Flos IC S1 Pendant Lamp would be the PERFECT start to fulfill our goal for 2017.

  29. We've been in our house for three years now and our living room has been largely ignored. It's become a space for toys and furniture with on other home and where we fall asleep in front of the tv. This year I'd love to turn it into a space where, yes, there's a tv and toys, but that it's also stylish. After a fresh coat of paint, I'd love to replace our TERRIBLE sofa with something like the Bentley sofa or replace our water stained coffee table with a Lili coffee table (the natural is perfect!!). Thanks for the giveaway!!

  37. We moved to a new apartment this year. And now that the winter has kicked in here in the Copenhagen suburb we've come to realise how much we in our former apartments used the city lights in our lighting. Out here it's gets really dark when the sun sets. Especially here in the winter. So... our decorating theme is lighting. Lots of lighting needed for making HYGGE. I'm keen on the &tradition mass lights for the kitchen https://www.houseology.com/and-tradition-mass-light-na5-brass, I think my husband wants Flowerpots 😁 We've got a lot of work ahead of us. We have a tiny house of about 86m2 for our family of 6 (soon to be 7 in April) and my Husband and I have taken the smallest room as we have the least stuff. I have been looking for a bedside lamp I could wall mount as we only have about 10cm of space next to our bed so can't have a lamp haha.

  64. My 2017 home decorating goal is to create a beautiful cozy interior in our new home. It's an old house from 1915 and with the high ceilings, a Scandinavian interior fits perfectly. 66. My goal for our home in 2017 is to make it feel like our own. We've moved many times in the last decade and I've had to make style choices with future buyers in mind rather than my own family. 68. My essential goal to achieve in the following year is to bring some design and decor to my transparent, non-attractive office space. I wish to get a possibility of making it more of a cozy place with some bit of copper and a splash of scandi design. Georg Jensen Koppel 22cm Wall Clock Copper would fit best for a moment, because at the moment I don't even own a clock other than one on my phone. I wish you a Merry Christmas and I hope to get that piece of design as my post-Christmas gift for my coworkers.

  69. My goal for my family home in 2017 is to make it complete! We moved in some years ago and there is still no kitchen, no sofa, some rooms even don´t have a lightning. My dear mother has made the rooms so cosy and we never whine about anything but she is the one having quite a hard time. She has always loved a clean and a lovely kitchen, full of flowers. Her dream kitchen is very scandinavian (we live in Estonia which is aaalmost scandi itself). If I´d be able to choose something from Houseology, I´d take 3/4 of the selection! But for my mom - Le Creuset Cast Iron Round Casserole (cerise). A great casserole pot which would make the cooking so much more enjoyable!

  74. I'm just graduating from architecture school and I'm going to be redoing my childhood bedroom at my parents' place as a reading room to update their home. I've been eyeing the Tom Dixon wingback chair for years now, and it would be lovely to have that or the Tom Dixon high scoop chair for my parents to enjoy!

The idea is to have two-toned walls, with white at the top and a dove grey at the bottom. I'm hoping to also set up an entire wall of bookshelves (likely DIY) and also include a small second-hand writing desk. I've already found a beautiful old wood chair from a small town thrift store to (hopefully) match with the desk. The Tom Dixon armchair would then provide a bit of drama and elegance to the room, and let both my parents sit in the same area together.

  83. My boyfriend and I just moved into an old Victorian home with original crown molding and 3.5-meter-high ceilings. As much as we love those beautiful features, we've realized that it can be difficult to fill such an old, large, and imposing space with comfort and coziness. So, in a bid to increase the hygge feel, we've been adding touches like lots of cashmere throws, candles, and warm teak furniture. The finishing touch would be a lamp that casts a beautiful, soft glow; the PR Home Tri Floor Lamp in Natural would be a perfect complement to our warm wood palette and mid-century-by-way-of-turn-of-century vibe ;)

  98. My goal is to finally finish the few projects in the house, the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, the OTHER bedroom oh and the living room! (told you I had to finish a few projects!!!) I think in order for me to achieve this I'd need the NORR11 Mammoth chair as I've always dreamed of having one and frankly if I finish the above tasks I DESERVE to treat myself

  99. My goal is to revamp my rear living room. It's North facing with patterned decor so lacks a lot of natural light and as such gets neglected of use despite it overlooking the garden. Decorating in light plainer tones & with new light flooring will be the major key and I think the Deknudt Twelve Mirror would not only add decorative interest but also greatly help in reflecting light around the room, ensuring the once neglected of use room becomes the main living area I always wanted it to be :)

  101. My goal for 2017 is better lighting in the dining area. I've had my eye on the &Tradition mega bulbs in amber color for a while now...

  102. My Goal for 2017 is to transform my bedroom into a bright, interesting, happy space as right now it's kind of drab. The thing that would be perfect for this is the Garden Trading Pimlico Floor Light - Glass. I also would really like some new bed linens to contrast the rest of the room and the perfect thing for that would be the Calvin Klein Acacia Printed Sateen Bedding Collection - Grey

  104. My home decorating goal for 2017 is to finally invest in some quality pieces I've been putting off buying; a nice rug and a new living room lamp. I'd love the "Circuit Rug" by Plantation Rug Company, and the NORR11 "Line One Floor Lamp".

  105. To change the old fashioned lightening that is in the house since I moved in few years ago. I would choose Heathfield & Co Zola Medium Ceiling Pendant
